I admit...I played a slot machine.............

I went to the OTB to play a few horses yesterday afternoon. Upon arriving, I stuck a $20 into a $2 machine and WHAM - $800.
I played my picks and left.........
Last night, the wife got home early and my first race had an expected fav sitting at higher odds so I expressed the desire to go and drop a few more $$ on him.
I walked in just like I did in the afternoon, put a $20 bill in the same machine and WHAM.....3 pulls, $600 !!!
I took the dough over to the horses and made that extra bet.
Back to the machine with another $20 and on the last pull....WHAM ! $600 !!!!!

(WTF is going on !)

I cashed out and went back to my table to see the previous race and look at the next. I played 3 races there and then had the itch to go back to that damn machine again (hooked....)

I shoved $60 into it and in the first $20, managed to win $320 (3 unmatched 7's). I continued to whittle that down to about $200 when I hit it

Red 7 - white 7 - blue 7 - $10,000

After the shock hit and I got paid, I decided to take $300 and stick it into a $5 machine just for shits & Giggles.........a streak like that just begs for a $5 machine!!!!!

FIRST pull............$750

Within $100 later - $500.

I played another $100 with no luck and decided to call it a night.

just had to tell this bizarre tale which will likely never occur again...........and I was there for the HORSES!!!!! (missed the last 3 races anyhow)

I took $400 to the track/casino yesterday and when the dust settled, I had approx $13,500 going home.
I am not a crazy casino sloth - besides, what do you do for an encore after all of that??? I told myself that it was a dream and it was time to go home.
I had JUST booked a 7 day Disney vacation for the wife & kids (5 & 7 year olds) followed by a 7 day East/west Caribbean funship cruise with them as a Christmas present. I saw this winfall as a little "message" telling me to drop it on the trip and have a nice family vacation.

That is classic. It reminds me of how serious people get when Megabucks gets big in Nevada. When the winner finally hits all these people saying if it is good or not, did the person DESERVE to win. When that cocktail waitress won they loved it, a degenerate local like themselves was a winner

When that engineer kid from LA won it they were all pissed off, some damn California came in and stole their money! I get a laugh out of it and these types if they saw what you did would be talking about how you walked in and stole their donations as if you were a thief because you aren't a regular player. Look what happens when you live outside of Nevada you miss all these fun conspiracies

thats a wonderfull story, but the sad thing is it will probably not happen again like that for a long,long time, so please dont pour it back in the next week or so like the rest of us, go buy somthing.

I never go to the local casino to play slots. If I am actually in the mood, I'll pop in $100 or less throughout the night while I am waiting for races to run (I am there for the horses )
Like I said, I am off this morning to settle up my vacation as I intended before I hit this money - now it is just a "freebie"

It was just a story that had to be posted - I'd never expect to hit such a jackpot again for a long long time.
