Do you believe the spread would be -3 NE still

Obviously injuries are a part of football and NE lost both Gronk and Edelman as well as key defenders for the weeks they lost games this year. If they stayed healthy i think they would've just lost one game.

NE is now healthy.

Would it be something like -7 NE? Seems like there is a ton of value on the now healthy Pats ... food for thought

I think the line reflects the fact that NE's injuries are why they are the 2 seed. Otherwise they would be underdogs. I honestly think if Edelman, Hightower, Vollmer were still out and this was week 17 or so, it would Den -2.5 at home or something. So I like the Pats today -- a lot -- but I think the line is about right, all things considered. Honestly, I thought it would be a little less than 3 when I was guessing the lines last week, but Denver's milquetoast play helped push it to a 3.

Denver has the kind of pass rush that can ruin new england.

I actually think this is a misnomer. When the Pat's have Edelman, Gronk and Amendola they release the ball in about 1.7 seconds, which neutralizes any pass rush. Last week the Chiefs, who have an excellent pass rush never sacked Brady and only hit him once. The Pat's didn't have problems with pass rushing teams until the injuries to Edelman, Amendola, Gronk etc....Brady could''t get the ball out quickly

Chone, i think the Pats took the 2nd seed in purpose. The Miami game the they want to lose to avoid the good team Pitts in the 1st round. That way they would play either Cinn at home(if Pitts lost) and KC could fit well w/ Denver in the 2nd round. And If Pitts beat Cinn ( as we all know) Pitts will gave a good fight vs Denver and Pats hosted KC as plan. Unfortunately, the hit on WR Brown and late injury on Roethlisberger could impact that game plan for the NE. As the Pats planned( imao ) the will host the CC at home either KC or Pitts. Well, now we have to travel to miles high to show we are going to SB

Do you really believe odds makers had not considered this when establishing the opening line? Therefore: perceived value----->pfft!!!!!!!

The line is based mainly off public perception. Public thinks Peyton cant beat Brady and NE is perceived as one of the best. If Denver was favored u have the entire world on NE +3, would be totally lopsided. Books look for an equal balance of money and they get paid from juice. Line is exactly what it should be.
