A WV win tonight gets Huggins a 25K bonus tonight...I think that sucks...the players get nothing...wonder what practice is like this week with 25K for the coach with a win...if down 1 with a foul with .7 sec left...a player will get his coach 25K with 2 baskets....just something wrong with this...wonder how the players feel this week at practice...
College Athletics (Football and Men's Hoops) are not fair for the players, only the big name coaches. It is not changing anytime soon unless you can get millions upon millions of fanatics to boycott the games, and more importantly turn off their television sets to boycott the networks and advertisers who support the profitable racket. It is the American way....
if they're good enough to get paid, go get paid
if not, take the 60k plus education plus spending money per year, it's what the overwhelming majority of them will live off the rest of their lives
very few get to the NBA, some go overseas, and many play in the D League with a salary cap of 25k, the education is worth more
I have a bigger problem with schools that don't encourage their kids to work towards a legitimate degree
