Here are my odds at my book.

<table align="center" frame="void" rules="none" width="600"><tbody><tr><th colspan="3" style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" align="center">Player To Win 2008 MLB Home Run Derby</th></tr><tr><th style="background-color: rgb(217, 15, 15); color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> Player To Win 2008 MLB Home Run Derby - Mon 7/148:00:00PM (EST)</th></tr><tr><td>

<center><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="90%"><tbody><tr><td>9001 Lance Berkman </td><td style="text-align: right;">+400</td></tr><tr><td>9002 Chase Utley </td><td style="text-align: right;">+500</td></tr><tr><td>9003 Dan Uggla </td><td style="text-align: right;">+700</td></tr><tr><td>9004 Ryan Braun </td><td style="text-align: right;">+900</td></tr><tr><td>9005 Josh Hamilton </td><td style="text-align: right;">+300</td></tr><tr><td>9006 Grady Sizemore </td><td style="text-align: right;">+600</td></tr><tr><td>9007 Evan Longoria </td><td style="text-align: right;">+850</td></tr><tr><td>9008 Justin Morneau </td><td style="text-align: right;">+500</td></tr></tbody></table></center></td></tr><tr><td><cite></cite>
* Note:
</td></tr></tbody></table>

Leaning towards:

Berkman
Utley
Braun (small)
Morneau

Will prob end up playing....Utley and Morneau.

Thoughts?

my book just put a prop up:

Winner of 2008 HR Derby will play for which league?

NL: +110
AL: - 125

Does it make sense to put $100 on NL then put $25 on each AL Player to win the HR Derby?

Right now here are the odds for the AL players

Hamilton +300
Sizemore +600 (Probably will leave this out as I think he has no shot)
Longoria +850 (will likely rise)
Morneau +500 (Best shot to win it for the AL I think)

If NL player wins you're up $10.

If Hamilton wins you're down $100.

If Morneau wins you're down $50.

If Sizemore wins you're down $25.

If Longoria wins you're up $37.50.

So I'd say it wasn't a smart bet. Since you like 3 NL players I'd say just bet NL to win at +110. I'm pretty sure the NL is the favorite at 5dimes at something like -140 so that would be good value.

No, don't do that.

If an NL player wins, you win $10.
If Hamilton wins, you lose $100.
If Sizemore wins, you lose $25.
If Longoria wins, you win $37.50.
If Morneau wins, you lose $50.
