Hows liveing in Las Vegas in the winter ?

Thinking of moveing there to get away from the cold and snow of illinois for a few months.
a few ?

does it get cold there?
whats a 2 br home cost to rent in a nice area?
how much is golf around that time ?

It's windy, gets chilly but not Midwest cold. Much better than the summer heat which is miserable.

1500ish maybe? I assume you want something decent but not lavish.
Should be able to get a decent bargain in the rental market, although short-term rentals are probably less desirable.

It costs more to golf in the winter than the summer. Depends upon how nice a course you want.

I tell others Phoenix is a better option. If you want to golf a lot, Florida and South Carolina could be nice too.

Vegas was habitable 20 yrs ago, maybe even 10, but now its sort of gross. Smog worse than LA, high crime, high traffic, worst air inside and outside in the nation. Not even redeeming qulaitys anymore like sportsbook variety. I guess if your from Detroit, N.Philly. E Stl, Miami, NY or other ratholes its not that big a diffrence, but I just know the now and then part and its sort of sad.

I remember waiting over 2 hours as a walk on at the public muni. All the other courses are very expensive. The wind can be unbelievable.

In December it can be 70 degrees and you can walk around in shorts if you want. No place is perfect.
