So how does the make-up of the Democratic Party compare to the make-up of the nation and what does that have to do with the color of the moon? Your question is intellectually inferior. Any criticism such nonsense can justify can be turned around.
But much more importantly
1) nobody wants Dean to apologize, we want him to keep talking and get as much exposure as possible, so your read on the situation is 1000% wrong to begin with and
2) A leading Democrat is once again injecting race into the spotlight. Now I know some talking head is going to say Dean didn't inject race with his own remarks but rather the Republicans injected race with their interpretation of his remarks, and inquiring intellects like you will "like totally agree", but that ain't going to play well in middle America.
