Texans looked good today. It's amazing how much getting Andre Johnson back makes a difference. Mario Williams looked good today also.

OK po69, here is the 2nd win you said they would only get to finish the season. Six games left. Want to re-consider your statement.

Rawpimple, how you like Bush now?

Big win by the Texans...5 and 5 after 10 games. Mario looked like a man posessed today. What can say about a texans d with 3 starters out with their injuies out of their secondary and to hold NO pass offense to only 10 points.

This was imo the best I have seen the Texans defense play. They need to bring that intensity with them to Cle next week.

I am not sure that they will even win more than 4 games. Hell, they may not even win AT ALL! I am not a Texans fan, but getting rid of Carr wasnt the answer if you ask me. If they had a suitable backup, then that was the correct move, but they dont ANYTHING now!

I have been a Cowboys fan for over 30 years, but I also dont like their quarterback situation. I wasnt a big fan of Romo last year. I am even suprised at how popular that he is nationwide in terms of the media. Romo cannot even PICK UP Manninsg's jockstrap

We all make statements we wished we never made...heck, I thought Favre was done and thought Rodgers was the answer....sometimes crow sandwiches taste good....:lolBIG:

Well winning more than 1 more game will be REAL tough! They have a pretty tough schedule coming. I would have given the Texans a home win against Tampa about 3 weeks now, but not now.

But they will probably get to 7 wins, but no CHANCE IN Hell of 8 wins! And I will bet ANYONE on that

Damn, you change your opinion more than my wife. Just admit they are better than you predicted and be done with it. I get tired of hearing how you are never wrong.

I will give them 2 more wins for the season.

Guess I DID KNOW what I was talking about!

But them again, I usually do!

All I do is win in the NFL and NCAA, but everyone always dogs me!

Here is my example before you ask.

Well I am getting tired of you guys bumping this thread each week. Lets at least let them win one more game before we crown them.

And I would hope that you know more than me about the Texans, you are their biggest fan I think

texas have certainly exceeded expectations, which im sure is the point of all the thread bumping. they obviously were never in danger of being the nfl's worst or finishing with 4 wins.

remaining schedule is brutal though

at cleveland (loss)
at tennessee (loss)
home to tampa (swing game, possible win but not an easy one)
home to denver (wont be easy, but a likely win)
at indy (loss)
home to jacksonville (coin flip game)

finding more than 2 wins the rest of the way wont be easy imo.

I see Houston going 3-3 the rest of the way..A.J. is back and had a TD and 120 yards today...Cleveland's defense is horrible and I think they have a shot winning in the dog pound...

Agree. Cle let Balt score thirty? Hou has a good offense that can score. Should be a good game. Cle is still more pretender than contender imo.

I think we steal one in Tenn.....JMO:103631605 Anyone that watched yesterdays game can see how much Andre means to this team...if he is healthy the rest of the season they will have a good chance to make the playoffs...again this is JMO

Grading the Texans: Simplifying gameplan gets an A

QUARTERBACKS A
Matt Schaub returned with an impressive performance, connecting on 21 of 33 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns. He was sacked once and didn't throw an interception.
RUNNING BACKS B
With Ahman Green watching from the sideline, Ron Dayne carried 21 times for 89 yards, a 4.2-yard average. He ran for 55 yards in the second half, 38 in the fourth quarter.
RECEIVERS B+
Andre Johnson returned with six catches for 120 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown. Tight end Owen Daniels had five receptions for 74 yards. Tight end Joel Dreessen had a 10-yard touchdown catch.
OFFENSIVE LINE B
They provided Matt Schaub with good protection, allowing one sack and helping the backs average 4.1 yards a carry, almost all by Ron Dayne.
DEFENSIVE LINE A
They shut down the run and put enough pressure on Drew Brees to throw him off. Mario Williams had his best game, including his fifth sack. Earl Cochran forced a fumble.
LINEBACKERS B+
DeMeco Ryans and Morlon Greenwood combined for 19 tackles. Greenwood had an interception. Along with Danny Clark, they bottled up Reggie Bush and shut down the run.

DEFENSIVE BACKS A-
Von Hutchins had his first interception in his first start. C.C. Brown forced a fumble and recovered another. Fred Bennett made a huge fourth-down play. Will Demps made big plays.

SPECIAL TEAMS B
Kris Brown kicked three field goals, including a 53-yarder. Matt Turk averaged 46.3 yards a punt. Coverage was good. Jacoby Jones averaged 10.3 yards on punt returns.

COACHING A
With two weeks to prepare, Gary Kubiak and his staff simplified the game plan and asked the players to focus more on doing their jobs rather than what the Saints were doing.

Cleveland is no pretender. They got a solid o-line, and because of that, they are no pretender. When you got pass protection, guys will get open, and Derek Anderson has a strong enough arm to fit it anywhere.

Defense needs work, they have one solid half and one awful half each game. Last 5 games, giving up about 7 points per in the good half and 21 points per half in the bad one. But they are starting to get some pressure on the qb and have totaled 10 sacks in the last two games.

With that said, the game this sunday will be a shootout. Probably the most entertaining game to watch in week 12.

That settles it...It's WED/DAY

Bush has done a hell of a lot more than Williams will EVER do. Just from a financial standpoint/ season ticket sales/attention (both nationally, and by opposing defenses)/ not to mention he does quite a bit on the field. Receptions/runner/ the defenses key on him and gameplan to stop him. How many UNSUPER Mario commericals have you seen? Hell I havent even seen UNSUPER Mario. The guy is invisible.

What the hell has Williams done? A sack every 6 games. Hell he doesnt even require double teams. He is a WASTE. Oh he recovered a fumble in week one or two. WOW. #1 overall pick!!!!! This isnt a 4th rounder. #1 Overall pick and the Texans F'd up---ROYALLY. They could have picked just about anyone in that draft...ANYONE....and come away with the production that this BUM has. So keep smoking that ganja and believing this guy is even a decent NFL player much less a superstar. #1 overall pick. If you didnt take Bush in that situation, they should have TRADED the pick. DUMBASS MOVE!!!!

Quite simply you are an uneducated moron. Bush is severly overrated. Hell, Ron Freaking Dayne outrushed Bush yesterday. It's obvious you don't watch football or know anything about it. Stick to ice dancing or whatever it is you fairies watch.:finger:

Bush is an overrated waste of a pick!!!!! His numbers are clearly down in his sophmore year where Mario has increased his numbers his 2nd season. It takes a Defensive Lineman a few years to become a force in the NFL and Mario is on that path. I take it that you dont watch many Texans games because if you did you would notice that Mario does get double teamed alot. Bush is not a featured back and until NO does realize this he will be exposed for what he is....JMO
