Wonder what the field pays?

It seems like teams who everyone expects to walk right into titles usually don't. OSU had a lot of breaks last year. Don't know if they'll be as fortunate this year.

Michigan +1300 is not bad value despite questions at QB. The talent has been on the roster, but the coaching has not. Now that second half of the equation is fixed. Would not be at all surprised to see them make a real run at a B1G title.

I can see it happening. Big 10 suuuucks. Can't believe Nebraska is the 4th best favorite. They should be around 8 or 9th best.

Lol. Never miss a chance to take a shot. They play in the west and have the 3rd best collection of talent in the conference (according to recruiting rankings the last 5 years) and a qb about to start his 3rd season. That gives them a decent shot. They've been underachievers no doubt. Some of that was scheme, some coach inexperience, even with all that against them show me one time they've finished 8th or 9th

These are the only 4 teams with a serious shot to win: OSU, MSU, Wis, Neb, no other teams stand a chance Because they either lack enough depth/talent or they play in the wrong division. Michigan isnt as stacked as people think. They've had some really good classes and some really average classes, plus they've had a bizarre amount of busts with quite a number of elite recruits. PSU lacks depth and Hackenberg isnt a very good qb to run an elite pro-style and he cant play dual threat. Iowa has bad coaching. Minnesota doesnt have enough guns. Lose TE and RB, which were the stars on O. The coaching is pretty good, but they cant beat OSU/MSU.

Im sad for Northwestern. They had so much momentum and OSU broke them one Saturday night and they've not been the same.

Michigan's schedule is very friendly next year.

Michigan St and Ohio State at home. No tough OOC games. Harbaugh wins everywhere he has been. He won with Kaepernick.

I don't know what you've been smoking in that corn cob pipe of yours but in no logical way is the Big Red Machine a 4th best. Losses I'm seeing on the schedule are Wisconsin, Minnesota, MIchigan St., and Iowa is a toss up. And since when has Northwestern ever been a push over? New system for Nebraska to learn and comes with it are growing pains in the form of losses. Huskers were just average prior to this year, I think your expectations are too great.

It's right there on the link for probably the best off-shore book with props. I didn't make the odds up, people a lot smarter than you and me did that. When Minnesota, Iowa and Northwestern can actually post better than a 5-3 record and win the division, that's when I will strongly consider them. Until then, history is my guide. There are 4 teams that have attended a Big Ten Title game (that's step 1, you have to get there first). I named those four; the only serious contenders. Northwestern might be dangerous for Nebraska, but they pose little threat of actually being able to win the conference, which is what we are talking about, not a one game litmus test. Ditto for any other team in the West not named Nebraska/Wisconsin. All of those teams are recruiting BELOW the Big Ten average, which is a class rank of 40. On the other side. OSU, MSU, Mich and PSU are all above that 40 watermark. But good luck to PSU (still affect by sanctions and QB play) and Mich (QB play), which if they were in the other division, would probably replace Nebraska/Wisconsin, but they aren't they have to go through the two current Big Ten big boys.

I'm not sure i agree with nebraska being just average. Bo Pellini was fired despite being the only coach in the big-10 to win 9 games each of the past 5 seasons. ... I dont know if they should be 4th but they sure arent 8th or 9th best in the big-10.

We saw Riley always have average or better teams at oregon state where the beavers were a shit team in a power conference , now he goes to nebraska which is a power team in a weaker conference. ... I expect 8 reg season wins and a chance at the 9th in a bowl game , but even if they go 7-5 they will be better than 8th place. /... ????

Getting the two big games at home is huge, but they have to play at Minn, which is a tough physical team and at PSU in November (no easy task). I'd also say that Utah and BYU are tough OOC games....of course that has nothing to do with the B10.

The Big 10 shouldn't be a problem for them this year. Get by MSU in their division and they are home free. The other teams are simply too far behind them at this point. In a couple years things could be different. But right now OSU is the Bama of the Big 10.

A fair 3rd party assessment.
