Curious to see what some say.

Do you adjust unit size when your bankroll increases or decreases? Do you alter it weekly, monthly, after a betting season, or after you've increased/decreased a set amount?

I bet 1.75% of my bank roll. Moving my wagers up and down as my bank roll hits each $5000 mark.

I adjust every $1,000.00 Treating each sport separately. 1-5 units in a 10 scale increment setting. 1* being 1.40% of BR. On a 10 scale using 0.70% increments. Max play being 5* or 7%. Maybe 5-10 of these per year total all sports. 90% of my action are 1* or 1.40% which is fairly conservative. But an excellent way to stay in it for the long haul.

I have no such thing as a unit or a bankroll. I just bet however much I feel like and win consistently.

Conservative is good money managment for sure Bentley. I think we all want to be in this for the long haul. Keep unit sizes snall so when the really bad run hits it doesn't wipe you out.

Based on inflation my average bet goes up a 100 every year. I will be broke shortly.

Let's just hope you're referring to inches and not millimeters or centimeters.

I adjust it at the begining of a season, and do so for each sport. I only re-adjust if I go way up or down, and even then I try to do so at a midway point through a season.

Only thing I suggest is to look at it like a paycheck. Figure every time you bet you earn something. Just because you went 3-0 tonight doesn't mean you should treat that like it will always be there right? So just figure a conservative guess at your edge, say 3-5% per base dollar wagered. Multiply your bets and that is what you can say you have theoretically earned. When that amount is big enough to justify stepping up and your results have been enough in line to also justify the move, then you should step up. Lots of people just base it on how much is in the bankroll at a given time, but if the amount went up due to a lucky run its best to be careful.

unit raises

seriously guys

most people are like me.a change means a double

50 unit becomes 100 to 200 to 500 to 1000

it is really best to keep the same unit size and add.25 to your plays until you are at least playing 1.5 units a game as a reg bet

if you double and hit a cold streak it will hurt bad

as always

good luck
