I enjoy watching MLB games live, although, if I'd see as many games as I like, I would be doing alone.

I love the afternoon games the most. All my friends have day jobs, or are so far up their significant others ass, they are afraid to do anything.

So, how many go alone to sporting events? I have been to an NBA game alone, but nothing else. Thinking of heading down to see the Red's and Padres this afternoon.

My buddie called and said he couldn't go to the DRAY game today, I briefly contemplayed going alone. That is something I would only consider when traveling alone for one reason or another, i love to see new places.

I have done it , mainly when i was a crazed Orioles fan when I was a youngster , its kinda strange though...I doubt I'd ever do it now.

Once when I first started skiing (many years ago now) I was so into it I couldn't wait for the weekends when my friends could go, I drove 3 hours up to Pa. and went skiing by myself...man I tell ya, it was the most boring thing I ever did!

I believe the last game I attended alone was a regular season Twins game during their championship season in 1987.

Wow, time sure does fly.

Sure it's more fun with friends, but when you are bored out of your mind some days, and the day is as nice it is today, i will make an exception.

i just hope the Red's can pull it off. May put a little on the game for some excitement while i'm there, beings i will be all by my lonesome.:drink:

I personally wouldn't go to a game either alone or with people (unless I was paid) but if you enjoy them, why the hell not?

I'm not sure I get the source of the uncertainty. Is it concern over how you would appear to the people around you? If that's it, I say screw that.

Maybe you're just wondering what it would be like to sit there without someone you know to talk to. I don't know.

IMO, if you enjoy the games enough, go for it. Try it anyway. If it turns out to be unpleasant for you, it's a lesson learned at no great cost.

I do it quite a bit, when I am on the road for business heading out to a sporting event and being able to charge it to the company is a nice perk. No big deal, just chat with the people in the crowd you never know who you might meet. Think of it like flying somewhere alone, most people are in a mood to converse with strangers at a game.

Driving across the country to Vegas a few years ago I stopped off the Interstate to see a Royals-Tigers game and when in LA for a court appointment I went to a Dodgers game alone. It's like Wild Bill says as soon as someone next to you in their season tickets hears that you are alone and from out of state they talk to you all game since it's breaks up their routine as well.

My limited experience doing it suggests it is often an even better time meeting new folks and what not.

I do it every once in a while. It's not bad at all especially if I have $ on the game.

I don't ever recall going to a game alone.
