wvu was putting up $14,000....lap was putting up $1,000

lap paid even though many said they didn't think he should. I don't know WVU as a stiff and he has made MANY bets with other posters and has a spotless record but i'm sure this was the most he would've lost and he did conveniently disappear and reappear.

I can't imagine any of his other posts were for close to 14K with only getting 100 back on a proposition that was not much better than even money (around 2-1 prob) for like a month leading up to its conclusion.

Enfuego saying that is totally fair game and I never agree w/ Enfuego. I mean look how WVU handled that, he went awol for months when it looked like he was going to get cleaned on it. It was 14-1 for a lot of money and he hadn't posted? I mean just in general make a post, what is the other guy supposed to think you just disappear, dont get PMs, anything as you have way the worst of a huge payout proposition.

Luckily PP, Ray and KG saved him by busting that ass.

Totally agree 100%.

I have been stiffed about 5 times on this forum.

This is the first time in 3 or 4 years.

I have noticed one trend that all 5 stiffs did to me.

Every single one of them has sent me emails or PM's promising me that on such and such day they will pay me.

My question is if you know you are going to stiff why lie?

I would rather you not email or PM me.

Dont add lying to your list of bad traits.

When these stiffs email or PM me saying they are going to pay I wonder if they really mean it at the time of the PM or email or if its a lie from the start.

I think in most cases they mean it but the means by which they plan on paying is flawed.

Most of these stiffs think they are going to get the money they owe back by opening lines of credit and betting there way out of there problem.

I think downtown was trying to get GMEN to set him up with a LOC hoping to bet his way out of his problems.

Downtown asked GMEN for credit 2 weeks ago. Exactly at the moment that he owed me.

This is the evil part of the business.

If I have one word of advice.

Dont try to get out of your problems using the same means that got you into your problem to begin with.

If you get in over your head shut it down.

Cut your losses, and make a plan on how you are going to pay your debts another way besides gambling.

I am not going to go into detail about another part of the story because I dont know if I have permission I will just give you the gist.

I was the 2nd person he owed.

1st person was owed a fairly much larger sum of money then he owed me.

He PM'd me about a last longer bet for $500 to try to help him pay off the other debt.
The reason he PM'd me instead of posting it in the thread like everyone else did is because the person he owed money to would have probably seen him making a forum bet when he already owed that person money.
So he PMd me so that person or anyone else would not know.

Then I won that bet so now he was not only not able to pay person A the money he owed him with my money now he had a new person B(me) to pay.

So now that he owes person A and person B he PM's person C(GMEN) to try to open up a line of credit to try to win back what he owed so he can pay off A and B.
What would have ended up happening if GMEN would not have been smart was he would have ended up owing A, B, and C.

Then he would have probably looked for person D.

Folks this not the way to live.

When you owe person A money shut it down right then and there pay person A.

If you dont it could spiral out of control.

Dont try to solve a problem with the same tool that created your problem to start with.

Here is the general problem chop. Well over half the people that gamble are low life degens who really have no intention of paying up. This is the gambling world. A hundred dollars could mean their water or phone bill....just the way it is out there. It's unfortunate but reality.

Must be the case.
Thats why I started the thread to see if $100 is really that big a deal. I guess it is.
