i've been in a league with pretty much the same bunch of guys since 1990

**the fee per team is $55
**we pay $7 team for a website to do the "paperwork" (site costs $91 a year and 14 teams in our league)
**transactions usually cost about $10-$15 per team

add it up and it comes to about $75ish for the season with 100% of all fees returned to league owners as far as payment with the exception of the website - with only a few bucks there returned to the league.

all other ones i do are free or close enough to it i consider it free.

I play in one that is $500 and we bid on Free Agents. Usually about 700-750 per team by seasons end. Very competitive!

I have never played fantasy football either.

Is it a conflict of interest when you bet on a team and have one of your fantasy players on the other. It seems this would happen often and affect your mental state during the game.
do yall let it determine whether you place a bet or not b/c you don't want to go against your fantasy player?
btw the league that I might join is $100
I am thinking about playing fantasy football this year, but don't want it to affect my gambling.
Any input would be appreciated
thanx

It shouldn't effect your gambling at all. Sure I want my fantasy team to win but winning my bets is MUCH more important!

It does not affect my wagers, but it is hell to try and root on Holmes when he is playing my Colts, if ya know what I mean.

We have a 50 dollar buyin, 5 bucks additional for each loss during the season and 2 bucks for each transaction so it adds up at the end.

I've been in a league with mostly the same group of friends for 5 years or so. We play at yahoo and it is free. I buy the stat tracker, which gives up to the minute score updates and it cost around $10 a season.
It doesn't influence my bets because a whole season is $100 and all my bets are for more than that. Sometimes I may catch myself rooting for a player of mine and have to catch myself because I have money on the other side. Just have to be happy with the glass half full in those instances.

www.webleaguemanager.com

it is set up so that the only way you can enter the site is with a login/password

the site costs $91 a season unless you renew early - then it is like $10 less.

Doesn't affect bets. if anything you root for your wager to go up by 35 points so this way your QB on the other team gets 350 yards passing.

thanks for that site.

volhound-

fantasy completely screws up your mental state for normal wagers.

the financial stakes in my league are small $150 per guy but the bragging rights are HUGE and worth more than any one individual wager. With that said, as a whole it is more lucrative to focus on wagers than fantasy games.
