GD...any news of a real job yet? If not, a few of us will be in Thailand in May and most of June...maybe you and Quantemleap can make the trip to the far east...this time will be traveling more and seeing a lot more of the country...:drink:

You plan on traveling more and seeing alot more of the country? Thats the most hilarious thing ive heard all year. Once you get to Pattaya my friend your not leaving Walking Street, maybe for a quick trip over to Beach Road and The Tahitian Queen or the Oasis.

Any idea as to why they go back?

I think Most Americans miss the things that they can get in the USA.

I know also back in the Day with Skybook ( just in case some don't know )
Skybook was not always down in CR and Owned by someone else
Anyway, back then they lost a few guys that just missed being in Vegas or New York, Etc....
Not really good for Married guys, Mostly...can't talk for all. But a few I knew lost his wife because of the Life some lead.

VD,
No one has called and offered me a job with the seven days off a week I want yet, and I'm not actively looking as well.

Thailand sounds tempting, although I'm still recovering from the plane ride back and not to eager to travel that long a distance yet. Maybe by then, I will.

It all depends on work. You know I would love to visit the Land of Smiles again. I'm doing my own consulting now so if I don't work I don't get paid and the Holidays took a bite out of my income.

Even if I am still doing my own consulting I will need a week off some time during the summer so maybe I can swing it. A lot could change between now and then though.

Ticket writers from 10 to 14 an hour + tips which can be lucrative if you know how to work your counter.

Starting supervisor about 30 grand on up.

I know a few making 50 or better and one certain head of an operation is in the high 6 figures.

Wow, certainly not what was I was thinking of for the higher positions, which would be the only thing I am interested in.

I make enough right now doing almost nothing that makes those salaries look rather paltry.

I love the open air beer bars in Pattaya. Nowhere else can you get that, in my opinion.

Walking Street is good, but there is a lot more to see and DO on the other soi's. Did you ever make it down Soi 6, what an experience, eh? :103631605

Probably won't be back there until sometime later this year, unfortunately. Angeles City is a good alternative as well, but there is far less there and no beach areas. Far cheaper, though, in all respects.

How big of a cardboard box to live in does 30-50 a year get you in Vegas? That's brutal. I live in the Denver burbs(not nearly as expensive as Vegas), and I swear the poverty line should be around 40-50k.

Soi 6 is as crazy as you will ever see or do...Just imagine going into any bar and getting mauled right from the get go...and those places where you go in and drink with the mirrors separating you and the girls with numbers on their attire makes you think you are playing Deal or no Deal...what a place.
