Adverti$ing here ha$ to be well worth

In your opinion, is there any way a sportbook doesn`t get its fair share of signups from advertising with TheRx?

Given the recent unhappiness with a few books it could not possibly have been from not getting exposure and new signups?

PS Judge more snow here in the old state today....

Yeah,I hear its pretty nasty.BTW,I believe most of your advertisers feel they get their moneys worth. At least the few that I talk to.

Didn't BHB say they got like 10 new sign ups by advertising with Major? 10 new sign ups?

Yeah it's a real ****in' bargain.

You will get the sharpest players, bonus whores, multible accounts, skirt the limits, skirt the rules, and scream on the forums the first time you catch them doing any of this.

At the same time you get blasted on the forums for trying to throw a bone to the players.

Plus you damn near need a full time PR personsto sit here and answer questions and defend attacks.

What a bargain!

If it was such a bargain, no one would be able to afford NOT to advertise here.

Tell it, some of your points seem valid. I still think that books will do well at sites like this and others where the traffic is high. It all comes down to traffic. If books are getting click throughs, then this site is probably good. I think if there wasn´t so much bullshit in the forums, that most books would be happier, however. I think that there are other parts of this site and other sites that people go to that the forum people forget about. I for over 3 years never even went to the forums here. I only read the stories on the front page. A lot of days I wish I never even tried the forums.

Well the SHRINK will not like this post too much, but then again, I dont have any ties with him, so I might as well speak the truth.

Back in the day, as in about 12-15 months ago ago, advertising at the RX was key. But since we havent added a significant # of NEW POSTERS(ghosts dont count) in the past 6 months, I would think that some books havent seen alot of signups lately.

I mean EVERYONE is already a member at each of these books, and since this site is seeming to go a bit downhill, then the signups will decrease in the future.

Hence, some advertisers are willing to part ways with this site. It is not deemed to be a good investment.

As a side note, I dont see how these sites can pay $25,000 a year to advertise on this site!! Everyone must be losing shitloads of money to these books. Because I would expect that some people actually win at these books as well.

To an unbiased observer, of which of course OFFIAL SCOREKEEPER is not, it would appear at this time to not be a great time to be advertiser. Now the RX could cahnge in the next few weeks and get a significant number of new posters, but I dont see that happening real soon.

But dont get me wrong, I am hoping that it will happen, but all of our "all-stars" post at another site right now. We dont need them back, we need a new all-star team

I'm thinking 2500+ new sign-ups is pretty good, but I haven't seen any numbers from other sites.

why are you always trying to downplay this sites popularity? what other site gives away 1000.00 to its posters (for nothing) ?

what other site has 1400 members online all at once? LMAO, you wanna talk about the site where "all the so called allstars" have left for, lol? I checked in there this morning, before sunday football and there was 27 people looking in (the same 27 lol) did I mention TheRx had over 1400 today, lol?

go ask Peep to kick in 1 dime (out of his pocket) for the next contest,lol...

JOURNEY - peep's site is deader than a doornail. if you look in the football section, i think it's only bigboydan posting to himself...lol

i will say this though...peep's site was recently launched, but i don't think a site dedicated to whiners who bash the rx is going to blow up...

as for this site, dimes, do you think 25k a year is a lot?? lol i EASILY deposit more than that a year, and i am sure many people here play 5-10 dimes a game...guess ur a small 25 dollar player, that's not who thebooks are focusing on from this site....

Ok, I will agree that peeps site has been deader than a doornail lately. ALot of people have been looking at this site lately, but just not posting. I will admit to not checking the users online hardly ever, so I wouldnt know how many people are online, but General, I am a little skeptical about 2500 signups!

Another question would be, if you had so many signups, then why make this post in the first place JOURNEYMAN? Sounds like you are trying to cover up for something.

-----------------------------
Identity, the fact that you even bring it up probably dictates that you play only $25 a game, but it is not that $25,000 is a lot, but if some of you guys are WINNING $10,000 a game then it would be! Must be a lot of bigtime losers to pay that sort of juice. Look at it this way, does Vegas offer reduced juice or signup bonuses? I mean they have their rewards programs, but those are geared to repeat customers. 90% of the guys around here play once at a book then leave.

My point above should have been that I believe at this time the site has reached a saturation point in terms of signups. I believe that it could be a lean year in 2004, hopefully by 2005 we get more users.

Dont get me wrong, I love this site, I just dont want everyone to stick with the status quo. Change is in order.

what are you talking about...coverup? pay attention to the posters online now sometimes...man when you make statements like that it really makes me wonder about you,lol...Maybe you could invite your "friends" to become 'superstar' posters like you promised !

Asking a question about 'how this site brings in additional revenue for advertising sportsbooks' and you claim 'cover up'

How is Ivan BTW?
