Since I began gambling over 37 years ago, I have never quit. Not once. I take breaks once in awhile if I feel stale or tired but that is just to recharge. Usually just a couple of days to a week maximum and when I'm on vacation. Other then that, and off season, I won't quit until I am too old, sick or dead.

Never made a conscious decision to quit gambling or effort to do so akin to a smoker quitting smoking or a drinker quitting drinking.

I don't have a ganbling problem. I actually went to the local casino ( M-Sun) yesternight for the first time in about 3 years, just ate dinner, watched free band, didn't bet a cent.

I used to smoke pot like a fiend from teenage years till about 30 or so ,never quit, just sort of stopped, no reason. I can't remember last weed I bought, but I'd light up a doobie if offered in a heartbeat, just kinda stopped around 30 or so.

I'd snort a line a coke in a flash ( even crystal-meth), used to do that SHIT a lot when young, I could get it, just don't !

Never found a need to cut off a book's casino, rarely notice if they offer one.

I have too much discipline to get caught up in a book's casino.

For me its more that I quit "not gambling". If I have a losing week, I quit for a month or more. I only continue gambling when I win. It usually takes a month or two to get the itch back cause I hate losing that much.

Losing is way worse than winning is fun. If I'm 3-0 and lose my fourth game I am pissed. I have made maybe four bets in the past month and half cause I had a bad run. Still don't have the itch yet.

Ditto! (Well, I'm only 27 years old, but other than that)
