a very restrictive diet. Not sure why anyone would want to live this way, but , we all have our choices. I suppose someone suffering chronic disease and is at wits end would give it go; run it as an experiment/de-toxify..symptoms change? If one has an existing medical condition, really should have a word with your MD; a vegan diet can exacerbate certain conditions if precautions arent takin. Fat-soluble vitamins A, D are nearly non-existent in this diet- a couple of examples of the need for supplementation in this grossly restrictive diet (needless to say someone with osteoporosis and not meeting their daily Vit D needs? ugh)

for what is worth, my older brother is a vegan. He takes me to the cleaners on any cycling ride over 60 km-ish. Similar genes, way different diets......not prepared to give full credit to the diet differences , tho...just sayin'

I have to respectfully disagree with you. It maybe restrictive to your perspective. I was low on vitamin d before i ever went vegan. you can get D3 from the sun. a lot of meat/dairy eaters are still deficient in vitamin D.

fair enough Shub. If you feel the food choices are not restrictive at all, that you 'aren't missing out on anything' then kudos. For me, diet without meat and diary is a no go.

curious, why have you gone Vegan? health reasons? I believe you posted previously about being insulin-dependent diabetic? Certainly food choices can help heal your body. Wish you well.

thanks.

The first reason, animal agriculture, its disgusting the way animals are treated. Not to mention the harmful steroids and hormones they give these animals. Its also hard on the human digestive system to process meat, especially red. its just overall a healthier lifestyle.

I'm also a type 1.5 diabetic which is all the more reason for me. Trying to heal my body of the harm i caused for 30+ years. I also stopped drinking bottled water, only drink reverse osmosis out of glass containers. To each is own. I no longer count calories, only chemicals.

Think I was one when I was age 2......

Seriously, my daughter was a vegan for a couple years...very difficult having dinner with her when I could....now that she is older, she still stays away from meat but her diet is better....

I think we could answer a lot easier as to who is not a vegan and with a fat gut like AK has, we know he is clearly not.

Do you have a good reason for not drinking bottled water

I've heard that you shouldn't re-use a plastic water bottle if it's been left out and exposed to heat.
