I imagine, even the best gamblers chased at one time in their life. I will be the first to admit(not proud of it), I have. And it was not pretty, it dips big time into your bottom line.

As long as you dont bet over your head, I find it less tempting to try and get the money back.

Any other?

Not one gambler hasn't chased at some point, even to this day, I will..

Even though 85% of all my wagers are for the same amount these days...by far the hardest thing for any newbie to understand, it defies logic but almost everyone will do it and be burned by it.

The toughest time for a prospective chaser is between sunday at 7:00pm after all the early games are over to 8:30pm before the ESPN Sunday Night Game..I would imagine that's where most chase bets are made....And if that fails you have all day Monday to think of how to 'get out' lol

No, The Big Chase Game Usually Falls On Monday Night When It Is The Last Game Before Settle Day And It Could Turn Into The Game That Decides Whether You Have To Pay Up Your Bookie, Or Collect Or Not Have To Settle Up..

Monday Night Football Is The Official Gambling Chase Day.. Hands Down.

Monday is in reality the last stop...But I'm thinking more along the lines of internet players now...Monday for internet players, they atleast have had a good night sleep and may wake up with more of a sense of reality....

Sunday Night you have that hour or so window , where you may have had a few bad beats, your emotions and adrenalin still racing...The Sunday Nighter is in a an hour...I think its the most dangerous spot for Offshore players to unload foolishly....MNF is when these same players scramble around all day monday trying to borrow money.

I don't remember ever chasing. If I did it was many years ago. When I was young and drunk. I would say in the last ten years, the only time I have dramatically increase the amount of a bet,is when I am on house money. Okay guys, trash away.

As much as chasing in sportsbetting is dangerous, my gut says it's even more dangerous in casino gambling.... how many of you have lost 1/2 of your deposit in online bj then promptly lost the other 1/2 chasing it? Because you can transact every few seconds in online casinos, chasing is even more deadly. It's the same dynamic as people chasing at the race track- there's a race every 40 mins..

Oh yeah and how about its reverse twin. You start winning big and increase your plays. You stay on a good run for a few weeks bumping up your plays and then boom one or two bad days and you are down.

Money management thats the key!

I remember after the Fla FSU game last year , I was so upset with the refs, and the way the game ended I chased with a 1500 parlay (all I had left in my offshore acct)...I never bet parlays with anywhere near that much money, and I didn't even give a damn at that point...It may have been the most lopsided officiated game I ever watched...And Fla still had the lead down to the last drive, FSU completed a 4th and like 17...next play that Loser Rix throws one 50yds into the endzone...I felt like I was shot in the stomach...

I have never been on an online casino...or bet on a horse race online.

There used to be a loser contest at Holiday Inn Boadwalk where you had to pick a loser across the board....lost those, too. I always would save 99 cents for the all you can eat spaghetti counter, and some for the 50 cent roulette. That was a long time ago, when I used to stagger back to Paradise Bay.

Funny you bring it up J~Man. I don't normally do it, but to be honest with you, I think the phrase " to chase" is overrated. Is there any difference in "chasing" later that same day or night than "chasing" the following day? Not in my opinion. Anyhow, Sunday night I actually did it if that's what you want to call it. I had what looked was going to be a tough day & night, with having a larger wager on the under 36 (bought up 1/2 point) in Chicago & San Fran, and as you know, the 26 points in the 1st half made it look as if it was definitely going over. BUT......I cleared my head, took into account that 7 points came from that long 49ers fumble return, and then the 3 Field Goals that barely made it was another 9 points. I also thought Chicago had the game under control, so I parlayed the 2nd half under 17 & Chicago -2.5. Of course, they both hit, and on top of that, the 2nd half slowed down so much, the final total hit right on 36 and I even got my original wager back that looked like an easy loser early on.........
