Work is called work for a reason, but in these economic times I'm grateful for my gov't job despite the fact that I pretty much hate it.
The key is not to expect your job to provide you happiness. I just look at it as a paycheck and nothing more.
Fortunately it's easy, decent pay ($100K) and has good benefits - true pension, 401K, fully paid insurance for my family and 45 paid days off combined (vacation, sick, and holidays).
I also spend a lot of time in the field which is nice because I'm not an office-type person. I'll never get rich from my job but it won't kill me because of the low stress.
Bored of it more than hating it
I'll move to Las Vegas

It'd be pretty hard to hate a job that had no stress, paid 100K (that is rich BTW) and get 45 days off a year and full benifets. I'm not embarassed (although I am pissed) to say that I make less than 1/3 of what you make through my ft job and have 8 days off a year and my boss is currently stiffing me on $1250 he was supposed to pay since I went of his insurance.
