Just curious as to how many have had a close family member who was a bookie?
My father did it years ago, and therefore all the terms, and concepts of wagering just come natural to me....
I bet i could find 20 people at work, if i said the term "parlay" wouldnt have a clue....
I was just raised around the horsetrack, ball games, and betting, so its second nature to me.....
I run a small football pool at work, and i know many times when someone will ask how it works, i will say we pick the games straight up, no pointspreads, and they will say "what's a pointspread?"....
i think i knew what one was when i was five...
Funny how things change though, when i was real little, and my dad would take me to the track, i mean little 6-7 years old, he would give me 20.00, and tell me it was mine to bet how i wanted....Back then i would pocket the 20.00, be happy, and be the winner in the group...
How things change.....lmfao
But i think to those of us that knew someone who booked, especially a father or grandfather, most of this is just second nature.....
