I think some of it is nostalgic. It's a throw-back to the old song&dance movies, the MGM classics from the 1940's-1960's. For those
people that fondly remember those (Fred Astaire, Ginger Rodgers), they will love this movie. And, with Debbie Fischer dying recently,
there's been a resurgence of them showing clips of films from her youth, that were of this type, e.g. "Singing in the Rain..."
It's a fantastic date movie. The only movie I ever saw more than once in a theater is Braveheart. I'm going to see this one again,
the cinematography and direction is amazing.
My only negative critique is that I was hoping for a different ending... I'll leave it at that.
