let's say the prize was $1,000 for whichever poster could do it for the longest time frame.

Let's say there is a check in thread where all participants had to post in a 5-min window at the top of every hour (until 5 after)

technically, you could take a 64 minute nap if you make your posts. (and obviously there would be some sort of honor system)

1) how long do you think you would last?
2) how long do you think the winner would have stayed up/posted?

I would stand no chance unless I'm in a casino lol...

Im useless after 18 hours.

Winner we will make it at least 36 I believe. But I also believe the winner would cheat.

There is a HUGE difference between staying up straight, and posting once an hour. Straight, I could do 48 hours no problem. 5 minutes an hour, indefinitely, just taking little naps every few hours.

the extent of cheating allowed would be a second individual waking you up every hour to post.

Maybe the rules would be a picture posted in the check in thread every hour, and you have to take a picture of yourself with that in the background.

winner will be subject to audit of all images

my intention was the staying up but there is no way to monitor that without actual witnesses

damn, I have has much or more energy as anyone (at least for my age), and my longest has to be maybe 30 hours. Although I have had periods of like maybe 10 hours sleep in 4 days.

I don't like being mentally tired, I'll just take a nap if need be

The longest I ever stayed up without one minute of actual sleep was 11 days when I was a teenager. For whatever reason I just never ran out of energy & no drugs & alcohol were not involved. I have always been one who needed next to no rest as I function best with only 2-4 hours a sleep a day.

I bet most of those 10 hours in 4 day marathons are during the month of april for you.
My accountant sleeps in his office during that week.

If I had to still go to work and perform my job. 2 days.
