How long can a website be down before you start to PANIC...

It seems when a site goes down people panic really quick....What is the longest you can take before you start to get upset just because the site is down for net problems

It's a tough call, because the problems are often out of the site owners hands (i.e DNS problems, ISP down, etc).

I mean if I try to go to my site for example Pinny and it is down I just say OK ill try again in 30 mins... its not life or death to me if its down for net reasons , so I assume the scalpers and action jackson's type bettors panic pretty quick if one of there sites are down?

Almost instantaneously, but depends with whom and how often.

if its a site that you are suposed to manage them the panic starts about 1 microsecond after the crash :smoker2:

if hotmail/msn messenger crash it manages to disrupt my communications with pretty much everyone

I don't panic if a site goes down, i panic when I call the company to tell them that the site is down and I get no answer.
