Fran Frischilla said it right "I get the feeling that Memphis isn't going to knock down 2 consecutive 3 pointers all season." I agree with Fran. This is the 3rd time I have watched them, and to say I am less then impressed is an understatement. Sure they are long and athletic, and Calipari has them playing defense, but I see them going in some prolonged scoring droughts throughout the season. Sure they will probably beat up on C-USA, but they def won't run the table. I also see them getting knocked off in a lot of their marquee non-conference games. This team just doesn't have the offense, especially in the shooting category to be a top 15 team.

Now I probably jinxed my Xavier +7 wager:ohno:

I have to agree with you on memphis not very good and run a very streetball like offense. The have to many young guys and no leadership.look for them to get in the tournament but make an early exit.

ya I should have waited for the game to be over to make that statement. they haven't missed since I said that. It will be a shame if X doesn't win this one. They have led throughout, and for the most part outplayed them

I've played them twice now and I'm 0-2. Not playing Memphis again for awhile....

Memphis is still a very good team again this year, but nowhere close to last years squad when they had the most talented roster in the nation. They have no Derrick Rose, no Chris Douglas-Roberts, no Joey Dorsey. Evans will be a stud this year and will only get better, but this team doesn't score well enough and doesn't have the leaders to be a final four team.

They will still win C USA, end up ranked in the top 20 and probably win a few games in the tournament though. Just no final four squad like last year.

The most talented roster in the nation was as follows: PG-Russel Robinson SG-Mario Chalmers SF-Brandon Rush PF-Darnell Jackson C-Darrell Arthur

Rose, CDR and Dorsey are still cleaning confetti off themselves.

Cal will never be half the coach Bill Self is; this team will be lucky to win Con USA.

While I agree that KU easily had the more talented roster, let's not get carried away. Your team was a stupid non-foul away from being the runner up.

Yes, congrats on winning the title, but don't act like you guys were UNLV 1990 or Duke 1992 or Ketucky 1996.

You were fortunate enought that Cal didn't have common sense to foul, up 3.

Hot damn BIG 10, we agree on something!

Self? Calipari? HAHAHAH...people in Kansas were ready to hang Self out to dry if this past years team didn't put a run together, so don't jump on his high horse all of the sudden.

You guys beat my tar heels, kills me to know it, but I've always thought that if that game were replayed, we'd have a totally different outcome. I don't think I've ever seen 1 game where 1 team was that hot while the other team was ice cold. Too bad we ran out of gas there towards the end, because we almost pulled a miracle that I think would've cost Self his job.

I took part in a survey of ranking the last 10 NCAAB Champions...I had Kansas last, without hesitation.

Memphis is #12 due to last season's reputation. preaseason and early season polls are pretty meaningless
