They are in a class by themselves. QB is maturing week by week and that defense! I would say it's the least advertised big names compared to last 2/3 years but what a huge upgrade in coaching ?. Some Bana fans won't admit it because of their unexplainable man crush on Kirby Smart but they are much better without him.

I cant see a team, who plays their best football staying on the field with them.

Likely playoff contenders in Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State, and Washington would need a perfect performance and a lot of Bama mistakes to have a chance.

They are the cream of the Crop! While it seems the rest of the SEC is getting worse by the week, they should cruise to another conference championship.

They do look awesome. Love their overall speed and Hurts is getting better by the week. Obviously they would be favored over every team in country but all it takes is one off game. Still a lot of football to play before playoffs.

They are good no doubt, problem is the competition has gone way way down the last 10+ years and they hit in just the perfect spot.

Clemson. Lol

Surely their luck runs out soon, but I'll say it again like I said last year and years past, their Special Teams is Not good enough to win a NC. It's sad based on the among of talent they have, but it's true. How the heck they can't figure it out year after year is baffling to me.

So are you saying the players now are worse than 10 years ago?

Head and shoulders above the rest, and get more efficient with each passing week. That defense is insanely talented.

Bama is really, really good. But conversely, the SEC as a whole is really, really bad. In years past, I don't think you'd see "top-tier" teams getting beat on their home turf 49-10. I think teams like Tenn, UF, UGa are not really good and when they play Bama they really get exposed. But Bama is really, really good.
There is no QB talent in the SEC. Take the talent of Tenn, and add a QB like Luke Falk of WSU, or Baker Mayfield, or Davis Webb and the team would be really good. I'm not sold on Dobbs, or Del Rio, or whoever LSU wants to roll out. I like the kid at Ole Miss, but he's a knucklehead. For all the talent on the lines of scrimmage, and at the skill positions, I see much better QB play on Friday nights here in Texas. Which BTW where Bama got their QB from. Channelview, TX.

Only one i can see coming close to upsetting them is ohio st cause of urban meyer vs saban but even then its a slim chance clemson will get ran off the field as tennesse did.

Tennessee was a fraud waiting to be exposed. Don't overreact.

I don't think it's an over reaction.. SEC is down and they are rolling them, it's like men playing with boys. Only team that can beat them is themselves.

I have been keeping power ratings for the last 3 seasons and right now after that blowout of the Vols, I have Bama rated higher(104.08) than any other team I can remember over that time period. They started the season 99.08, but I wonder how much of that last game was due to the cumulative effect of Tenn injuries, coupled with the string of nail biters including the double OT loss the week before? I was thinking about playing Tenn, but luckily did not pull the trigger after doing more research on the Tenn injuries while betting a team coming off a multiple OT loss is generally frowned upon as well.

Send, I honestly think it was a BAD spot for Tenn despite it being a rivalry game. Coming off UF, UGa, A&M, and then having to play Bama. On top of that, they are really banged up big time while Bama is at full strength. There was a reason Bama was a DD road fav in a rivalry game. Add to that Tenn is so TO prone. Bama covered the game based on scores from the TO's and special teams alone. The Bama offense could have stayed in T'town last week.
