Because they're Duke. Lol. Not only a one seed but on the opposite side of the bracket as Kentucky. In my opinion Wisconsin and Kentucky should be set up to play in the championship game.

IMHO, it will be Duke and the Cats in the Final. Duke gets a one seed because of Okafor, who is gonna be the first guy drafted this season.

Duke is Duke, I'm not agreeing with the committee, hell, my sheepskin says Vanderbilt on it. But between Coach K and Okafor, I can see what they did. This is all moot, no way in hell anyone beats the Cats.

Yeah Cree, and not sure what their SOS was, but I'm sure it was up there. Lot of things go into the equation, hell, if Slippery Rock beat Kentucky this year, they'd probably have gotten a one seed, LOL.

if not for espn, and their relentless promotion of duk, they would have been lucky to get a #2

They beat both teams that played in the Big 10 Championship game. They have also beaten a lot of teams in the Top 25 and/or are in the field. Beat Virginia, UNC twice, Louisville.

I'm not a Duke lover or apologist, and you can certainly make the case as to why they are a #1. Wisconsin would have been a #1 even with a loss on Sunday, so conf championship tourneys are not the end all, except for the smaller conferences.

I would have given that spot to Arizona if you're looking to replace them.

Probably could get away with the Zags IMO. They played a pretty tough noncon and did some damage.

Arizona is debatable but none of those other teams are as good as Duke.
