wilheim - "You don't have the first clue what goes on behind the scenes in these disputes."

I know what the result is of "what goes on behind the scenes" - nothing.

Scooter, what's your problem? You know that claim is BS. Cheap shot, and an entirely inaccurate one at that.

i dont care if WILHEIM goes and hits the street corners at night and has gay anal sex with betonsports. i like having a place to read others picks and share my own.

all of you drama queens, who try to act like you are moderators, or like you have some serious pull in the online sportsbetting and free picks industry need to get a life. the casual poster doesnt give 3 shits about who advertises at this site. they want picks, they want insight, and they like the casual conversation.

i'm tired of people thinking they are moderators ...

"why hasnt this moved to the rubber room yet?"
"therx advertises for a shady book"
"wil needs to do a better job moderating"

:cryingcry

dude, seriously, get a freakin life. spend some of those winnings and get laid one time. life gets much tougher than what posts belong in the rubber room.

post your picks, look at others, get into some sweet rubber room fights and STFU. no matter how hard you try, you arent a moderator, you have no say in this thing, and as WILHEIM says....feel free to leave. dont let the door hit you on the way out.

:thumbsup2:

if you are looking at advertisements to choose a sportsbook, you dont belong betting. you need to do your own research.

being a website owner...this crap aint free. bandwith, servers, dedicated servers, web hosting, domain names, web development, web maintanence, paying moderators to watch you assholes like 3 year olds, whatever. They need $$$. They allow free message boards, free line service, free articles.....and they help moderate disputes with sportsbooks...pretty big time for a free service....somethings gotta give....

My nomination for POST OF THE YEAR. Nice to hear some sanity prevaling above this emotional mob mentality.

Ppeter, didnt you start a thread a few months ago about how BOS has "turned the corner"?

BOS decided to turn four consecutive corners, and remain the same crooks they have been during past years.

If you still have a balance at this dump, get your money out before you are also robbed.

I realize BOS entices alot of people with hefty bonuses, but if they decide to stiff is it worth the risk?

Do you still rate BOS an "A" book as you did earlier this month?

Boxslayer32 is ignorant about the situation at hand. His attitude is what a scam operation is counting on to thrive. For no one to care.

It's one thing to care, and report these things on the forum and take down betonsports for what they have done. And self-police, as posters, "watchdogs".

It's quite another to give wilheim, who moderates a free message board, hell and back because they advertise here. To nit-pick every little thing out of the guy's mouth and magnify it like the Bible.

And my post wasnt really about the betonsports issue. It really has to do more with, the same people who are in this thread are the same people who tell wilheim how to do his job 24 hours a day. That was what irked me, and what my post really referred to, not the BOS issue.

I understand the importance of reporting these things. I understand the importance of taking down all affiliates of BOS now.

I just dont like soccer moms.

By the way, do you understand how ineffective putting twinkling ads on websites is becoming? As an advertising medium it is becoming obsolete quicker than anything. People are becoming absolutely immune to website advertisements. We do anything in our power to stop it, pop-up blockers whatever we can do.

Web users focus on the main page more and more. And I can't imagine someone seeing the v-wager.com banner in the middle of 20 other banners, and click on it, and thats how they make their sportsbook decisions. I didnt notice this page had web ads until someone pointed it out, and I still dont know who advertises here, apparently BOS does. I havnt seen one yet besides a couple of contest threads.

Advertising is going to change very fast. With newspaper ad rates reaching an all-time high, people becoming immune to web ads, etc new innovative advertisement methods are in demand. Word of mouth has never been more important.

The few threads on betonsports alone, word of mouth, will hurt them more than taking down any blinking ad or contest sponsor.

Once again, this was not directed towards watch dogging on betonsports, and not caring about what happened. But rather, to the people who tell wilheim how to do his job every opportunity that it arises. "Move this thread, whats this doing here, move that thread, do this, do that, what are you doing, you suck, etc." Geez, give it a rest. Its a free service.

BOS is the income for therx, and without sponsors/advertisers, this website doesnt exist, and you dont have the opportunity to call out betonsports, watchdog sportsbooks, post plays, act like a know-it-all, or call me ignorant.

It's possible one might pay little attention to the "twinkling ads", but when I first found Therx and was looking for a good book, it was easy to find their "sb reviews" link at the top of this page. When I clicked on the link, this is what I found:

Platinum Sponsorship
BetOnSports online sportsbook

Dominant, Relentless, and Exceptional are words that are often associated with BETonSPORTS.com.

The first, foremost recommendation from a 'respected watchdog'. BOS is getting what it pays for, a transference of RX's respect to their business. Of course lately there have been a few other words associated with BOS.

Just to be fair, when I click on the sportsbook review link at EOG, under platinum sponsors this is the first one listed:

"One of the most well-established online sports book operations on the net, BETonSPORTS.com has long been considered a bettor's paradise."

While both sites do refer to BOS as a "platinum sponsor", I think calling the link "sportsbook reviews" is misleading.

agree, the banners are not worth a whole lot. It seems BCN got very few in with ads here. TOW books seem to get very few bets, also. Look how low the balances were with Stars, Richcoast, etc. I believe the banners are largely ignored. What good is a BOS banner here, when there are constant threads calling them thieves ? Posters know the deal, lurkers read the threads.
