Hard to say.....lots of inept people work on these campaigns and it's often a joint effort with local campaign people who only meet for the first time at the rally. I know people are planted there to show a diverse group.....both sides do that. It's possible they just went by the look of him and didn't realize who he actually was. Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't put it together. Not saying that's what happened but it's certainly a possibility.
Of course......very possible they didn't. And we know this because politically, his presence there, is not a plus for her.....and that's what they care about. Her own staff organizes the events and has final approval on who sits where. I know this for a fact because I know someone who worked on national campaigns doing exactly this. They don't leave this up to volunteer interns.

Not every campaign works the same way. It's a collaborative effort at events like that. Clearly it was a mistake made by someone not connecting the name....he hurts them more than helps them. In fact, he doesn't help at all.....that's how you know it's a mistake and they didn't know.
