How do you keep track when betting nba overs/unders?

I was wondering how you guys follow nba overs/unders while in progress to get an idea if you are ahead/behind.I usually do it by trying to get 6 baskets every 3 minutes then add 1 or 2 if the total is high.How do you guys do it?

It all depends on what teams are playing, EXAMPLE a team like the Pistons that plays defense.

If I see a 4 point per minute avg needed for an over or under it is tight IMO. If I need an over and the teams need 3 per min I feel better. If I need an under and the teams need 5 per min I feel better.

Make any sense?

You could take total , divide by 48, then multiply by minutes played. It won't account for end- game foul-fest.

4 points per minute is all you need.

As mentioned, when a team is up by 4-8 late, under bettors are often screwed by foul fest

I simply apply the SANTA CLAUS theory and that works best for me.

I just look at the quarter scoring. If first quarter had 48 points total and the o/u is 186 then it's looking good for the over but not enugh to become cofident.

I break it down by (2) 6 min quarters within a quarter...

6 mins into the first half, I double that to see how I'm heading

I also break it down to see what their scoring per min average.
