Why? The very fastest is hardly any quicker than merely fast. High levels of RAM is always best, processor speed only matters if you do certain things on your computer. Now if you really want to blow money, you can spend 5 times as much and get a gamers machine which will be incredibly fast, but you might realize you didn't need that.
Of course, TTinCO knows what he is talking about, but I want to second his motion....
MEMORY is one of the easiest and biggest factors in speeding up your computer. I know that.
I am going to guess at this next and TTinCO or anyone tell me if I am wrong.... shouldn't a video card with 128 meg RAM on card help speed up the system as well? I'm thinking that would help quite a bit, but I'm guessing at this last. Good luck. tulsa
Tulsa-I'm not a gamer, so I'm probably not the resident expert on the high end video cards, but it's only logical that the "more is better" theory definitely applies to video cards.
The only question is how much of a difference you'll see if you aren't a gamer.
Don't even go there......I have my own little theory about Micro$oft and their ties to Intel. Does it seem at all odd that every single new operating system is bigger, fatter, and slower than it's predecessor? It's all about keeping the hardware lifecycle as short as possible. Money, more MONEY!
