I went on a sales call tonight and I got there and it had to be 90 degrees in the kitchen. The lady said that she was sorry that it was so hot but her air conditioner had gone out. I asked when that happened and she replied "a couple of years ago"!!!! Needless to say, I figured out real quick that she was not in the market for 3k worth of cookware and I got the fuck out of there. I do not know how people can live that way!!

I lived in Newport, RI after college in a huge house with no AC. It's fine for most of the year-but it made no sense to me when it got warm.

I've lived in Texas and NOLA where I set it and forget it (on about 70). Life would be unbearable without it. Yet I still believe that indians and asians keep their AC on 80-85 even when it's a hundy out.

My entire youth we lived quite poor with no ac.. lol and we couldn't afford fans hahah.. my mom told us to go outside and run if we wanted a breeze.. hahaha. It was 98 of course many of those days hahaha..

The happy ending to this story is now since I have money the last 10 years my ac is set at 73 during the day and 68 at night.
Cheers

Its usually hot & humid where I live in the summer & retired school teacher couple that lives across the street from me have a 50k inground swimming pool but no AC in their house.......they open their windows at night like a breeze will come thru with the humidity. I guess not everyone needs AC.

I don't even cook. OK ….. Well coffee and a couple things. If that happens to be what you like.... come on over. But, ADT .....

You must be a hell of a salesman or selling a set big enough to outfit an entire industrial kitchen.

You could always get a Commando 8!!

I grew up in Jacksonville, FL....graduated HS in 88. I went to elementary school and junior HS w/ no AC at the school. For the most part it was just brutal in Sept (sometimes into Oct) and April, May, June...but it was brutal!

As a firefighter (and paramedic) I've been in people's houses that didn't have AC and you talk about brutally hot! Sometimes it would be hotter inside than outside (and we're talkin' mid-summer, 90+ outside). I don't know how people live like that...

retired teachers are real cheapies

I thought about that as well but there are only 2 people that live in a 5 bedroom house & they own 3 cars, a Lexus auto, a Honda SUV & a Benz auto......doesn't seem like they're cheap. Some people love the heat......I on the other hand like the cold & need central AC.

It is high end waterless and greaseless cookware. The best cookware made. If you get in front of people who can afford it, it is the easiest sale ever. Average sale is 3k, but have sets that go up to $5800

I didn't have central air until a couple of years ago, when we installed one of them there ventless Mitsubishi systems. I never needed it until then, turn on the whole house fan at night and every room is cool within seconds.

But that has changed in recent years, I'm kinda like BAS now although more like 73 than 68

If I didn't have AC, I'd sweat like a pig. And once you have it, you can't go back

News Flash: You still don't have "central air".

You have what is called a ductless system.

Two bills over $200 each I never even care about the cost when I write my checks: Electric bill in the summer and Direct TV (with all my sports channels included).
