Saturday had a decent sized college schedule and I would guess the average book had about 35 to 40% of what they will ultimately handle when the public really gets interested in football - in 3 to 4 weeks from now.

So the question is this -did your book perform well( software, internet, phone clerks etc.)?

If not, you better start looking for a new out now, because the crunch will only get worse as time passes..

Thanks for asking. I thought I handled it pretty well. Still have some tests coming up, however. Will stay focused so I can answer that phone every time it rings!

They took hits on Thursday and Friday as everyone was on BYU and UNLV.

Seems like alot of big favs rolled like Florida and Michigan.

Played through about 6 or 7 books over the week-end and all did very well.

Logistics wise they did well, not sure how they did profit wise. If I am any indication they are eating high on the hog though.

I just wanted to discuss the overall logistics of Saturday..

Saturday was a "real trial run" of what's to be expected, volume wise, down the road in a few weeks..

Although yesterday is a small indication of tech stability, nobody can be judged on their software just yet.

The only time to pass judgement on a book is between 12 and 1 EST on an NFL Sunday. That's when places like SIA consistently fall flat on their face .

WANNA:

Exactly my point.

IF any book is having tech or other logistical problems now, they better make a fix quick or they will be doomed come crunch time in a few more weeks.

BTW, most of the stores I spoke with had very good Saturday results.

agree with wonder, mvp was having some trouble, sportingbet was also lagging on getting bets confirmed, of course by the time it worked the 'line had changed'

No snags at all here with Oly, Pinnacle or 5dimes (Besides some really, really shitting plays on my part).

As far as traffic goes, NFL crunch time is the only real test. If anyone had site problems now(besides the Rx & Mw) it's going to be 50x worse come the 2nd or 3rd Sunday of NFL.

monetarily, we won, not much but won, in fact this week has been amazing, in terms of how much we won wednesday, thursday and friday.

in terms of the running of it, smoothly, with the occasional "is customer so and so allowed to do this?"
