Any good memories stand out thinking back to that time or was it a bad experience?

Thanks

A buddy told me about a book he uses after a few years of betting using proline and their terrible odds. Did well at first but it has been mostly downhill since.

I actually saw mine on TV...A sports channel....I thought I was seeing things....I remember it was based out of the netherlands, they kept saying that...

I asked my wife at the time (notice I said "at the time")..."you think I should send them 500?" and the rest is history lol...

A buddy played with a book offshore that at the time was very new to me. I was very nervous posting up offshore, but I do believe I lucked out and picked out a great book to start out with. Thanks OLYMPIC for 5 solid years.

It was the Australian Centrebet for me about 5 years ago. Buddies of mine were betting soccer with crappy European odds and I used a search engine to find something better. Then about 6 months later I discovered WorldSportsBook and Bowmans and that got me into American sports. Those were the good ole' days.

There was a site called thesportsmachine.com that was a model of an offshore sportsbook where you could go in with fake cash and see how far you could run your balance up to. They sponsored the BigBook.com and GrandPrixsports.com which had their same format. I believe I found the RX through them also. Don't know if you guys remember them but it was kind of cool back in the day. I believe it was around 1996 or 1997. I'm sure SHRINK remembers them.

Saw an ad in a "rag mag" in Vegas for Netbetz and WSEX. This was in 1996. Got into a dispute with the race and sports book manager at the MGM and I've never been back to Vegas since. No reason to.

in some pre season betting guide i picked up for football. it had a ton of useless ats stats, mediocre editorials and a ton of ads for mike warren. and a very curious ad with a toll free number boasting "legal betting" . . .this was 10 years ago. everytime a discussion of books came up id say mine was off shore, i was often greeted with funny looks like "uh, ok". like i wasnt serious about betting or something because of it. those same people now, i wouldnt look at serious if the circumstances were the same. funny how things change.
