Chris Pontius' character from "Jackass"

Sick of it, but I'll wait until after G.Money's contest to change it.

We were sitting at a bar one night and my friend was trying to think of names for a band they had recently formed. We wrote like 200 names on napkins and my favorite was "The Green Doberman Experience". They didn't pick it but later on he said that Green Doberman was a cool name, but what the hell did it mean? I said, "Exactly, you want to put it up on the marquee and have people go what the hell is that, so they'll be curious". It's the same reason Pearl Jam changed their name from Mookie Blaylock and why Led Zeppelin and Def Leppard deliberately mispelled them.

Well, the name stuck and I named my business Green Doberman. Nobody would know what the hell it meant, but it always stuck in their head. Most people think Green is my last name, but that is not the case. Green is because I'm Irish, and Doberman was just a random dog, because a friend would always say "What's up Dog?"

There are a few hidden meanings behind it as well, but I'll keep them to myself.

I also have a friend in a band and they were having the same dilemma...what to name themselves? My buddy suggested "Free Beer" as the band's name. All his band mates thought it was ridiculous. He told them the same thing your buddy did, "Imagine that name "Free Beer" upon the marquee. Who would pass that up?" He was probably right but they all decided on something different. I know I would venture into a place that said that!

Anyway, my name is pretty easy to figure out. Who wants to lose???

I had moved out to San Diego from the east coast. I heard Jim Rome referring to "No Cal" and "So Cal" on his radio show for northern and southern CA. just decided to rep for my new location. Truth is.. I'm a hard core east coast transplant. I bleed Eagle green. My name should be some variation of the east coast and the Eagles.. but... what's done is done. I'm SoCal !

True story .

Douglas (English pronunciation: /ˈdʌɡləs/) is a Scottish masculine given name which originated from the surname Douglas. Although today the name is almost exclusively given to boys, it was used as girls name in the 17th and 18th centuries, in the north of England.[1] The Scottish surname Douglas was borne by one of the most powerful families of the Kingdom of Scotland (the Earls of Douglas, Angus, Morton, Dukes of Hamilton and others). It has sometimes been stated that the given name is connected with the given name Dougal, although it is more likely derived from the surname already mentioned.[2] Linguistically, Douglas is derived from the Gaelic elements: dubh, meaning "dark, black"; and glas, meaning "stream" (also a derivative of glas, meaning "grey"). The surname Douglas is a habitational name, which could be derived from any of the many places so-named. While there are numerous places with this name in both Ireland and Scotland, it is thought, in most cases, to refer to Douglas, South Lanarkshire, which was once the stronghold of Clan Douglas.[3] The Scottish Gaelic form of the given name is Dùbhghlas;[2] the Irish language form it is Dúghlas,[4] and Dubhghlas, which are pronounced Irish pronunciation: [duːɣləs].[5] The Hawaiian language form of the given name is Koukakala, which is pronounced IPA: [koukəˈkɐlə].[6] The given name Douglas is sometimes shortened to Doug. Pet forms of the given name include: Dougie,[2] and Duggie.[7]

I wanted to name myself after a legendary play-caller, someone with a voice like velvet, someone who garnered instant respect, somebody who every other play-caller wants to be be.

So I picked <s> Chris Berman </s> Mr Scully.
