Ive smoked weed hundreds of times - never smoke anymore - maybe a hit or an edible 2x a year - just don't like it unless I'm trying to sleep - know tons of daily smokers - I have one friend that smokes all the time that I would consider highly successful - look around at the people that smoke all the time and it's not exactly the pillars of society

Fair enough. Moderation is moderation. But it's my birthday, so I'm going to consume some extra thc tonight to feel a nice little buzz and it will help my insomnia (and hatred for Duke). Fuck big pharma. Cheers.

Caution...ingesting some strong weed and then looking at Orioles opening 25man roster will induce chronic giggles

What about work tomorrow? Monday morning a bad time to be hungover

There is no physical hangover the morning after cannabis use.

You are perhaps confusing it with the drug alcohol which strips the body of Vitamins B & C while also contributing to dehyrdration - a killer combo when followed by a night of restless sleep

You might have a different perception if you stopped hanging out with losers.

My social fraternity is made up of professionals and business owners who enjoy responsible cannabis use.

The vast majority are very limited or fully abstain from the debilitating drugs alcohol and tobacco which certainly contributes to their overall personal and professional well-being

Potheads and success dont mix in my experience. To each their own but the wealthy professionals I know dont smoke weed

Many users of cannabis also use tobacco and alcohol, two drugs which can be highly destructive to physical and mental well-being. If an observer were to judge their behavior solely on "cannabis use" it would be a highly flawed judgement

One of the brightest guys that ever worked for me got with the wrong woman and started using Heroin. Within 3 months he went from being my star employee to stealing, passing out in his office, and going to jail.

It was crazy to see drugs destroy someone with so much potential first hand

Would also add, "Not as far as you know"

My former colleagues (1999-2010) are experts on the social profiles of cannabis users.

In places where cannabis remains illegal, many users in the higher socio-economic demos conceal their use of cannabis to reduce potential legal, professional and social consequences

Heroin use is extremely debilitating, especially in an illegal market (such as, all of the USA). It is not surprising to hear someone get crushed within just a few months of trying to use it.

Fortunately, there are likely less than a half million Americans who attempt active use of heroin

that is the key. It hasnt been well studied as it's kinda hard to study a drug thats Schedule 1, health agencies are scrambling to set guidelines

Chronic users have a tendency to downplay, or often ignore its dangers (not saying u are) and deflect to more lethal habits like alcohol, tobacco use. The latter is complete GARBAGE---stone cold garbage. With that said chronic cannabis smokers do face dangers; oral cavity is in harms way with xerostomia being the biggie, not good as saliva is the oil of the mouth. Take it away and one is significantly more susceptible to oral disease. In addition, its smoked-- an irritant to the airway that can led to respiratory issues, long term. Can it cause cancer? we dont know yet........

'Whether smoking marijuana causes lung cancer, as cigarette smoking does, remains an open question.68,71 Marijuana smoke contains carcinogenic combustion products, including about 50 percent more benzoprene and 75 percent more benzanthracene (and more phenols, vinyl chlorides, nitrosamines, reactive oxygen species) than cigarette smoke.68Because of how it is typically smoked (deeper inhale, held for longer), marijuana smoking leads to four times the deposition of tar compared to cigarette smoking.72 However, while a few small, uncontrolled studies have suggested that heavy, regular marijuana smoking could increase risk for respiratory cancers, well-designed population studies have failed to find an increased risk of lung cancer associated with marijuana use.68

edibles maybe the best way to go for folks who intend to use it regularly

with that all said.........Dr Lanquel, the plan for our round of golf at iconic Royal Woodbine is to embrace The East ; Zen golf. Action with awareness. That's the plan.............HOWEVER, need a plan B as golf has a way of blowing shit up. If shit starts to hit the fan? poly-pharmacy. Bourbon and edibles........edibles too long an onset?

Makes me tired, lazy, and clouded in the head. In college I smoked daily. Enjoyed it. I use a couple times per year now. Only on trips/vacations with friends. No way I could see myself getting high daily. Got too much stuff going on I need to be sharp at/with.

I got my medical card in October, just the freedom of mind that I can’t get arrested for it anymore is worth every penny I paid for it. There’s only 2 dispensary’s in south jersey , New Jersey has to get on the ball . The legal marijuana bill didn’t pass yesterday

I need to sample edibles during coming months now that legally available here and will report back via the usual diplomatic back channels

Oh and deliberately increasing water intake is good health for all and likely mitigates xerostemia concerns.

Many cannabis users report increased 'sweet tooth' and start hitting sugary soda pops etc.....More veteran cats like me have moved past that
