I hit a bad streak today and chased on Seattle -1.5 and even though it is 0-0 I know that if they win they will only win by 1 run right now. How many guys have just bailed out on something really easy before. Everytime I do it its either I win by the skin of my teeth or I have no shot to win. Never have I chased big money on a team and they come out and win 7-0 or some kind of score that you really don't have to worry about.

I know..Maybe I worded it wrong...I was just wondering how many guys have chased and made it out with a really easy victory

Listen to Soprano and Village.

That's excellent advice.

Think about this = when you jog, or work out, right? And, say you are running and you get to that point where you are just breathing hard as hell and you are essentially "outta gas". What do you do?

You stop, or at least, slow down to a walk to REST and REVIVE.

That guy out in front of you ? You probably won't catch him quickly, if at all. But, it's all about pace.

Same thing with gaming. Pace yourself and you can go the distance without losing all your breath. And b-roll. If you are behind? Try to catch up slowly, over time, not increase your units. IF anything? reduce your plays and your units. Sort out your plays, then pick the one or two best ones, play half your usual unit(s), then do the same thing tomorrow.

See, if you are back on track, your roll will build. Slower, sure, but you have to pick winners (at ANY amount of units). So, make sure you are back to winning, then your roll will increase, and you will eventually 'catch-up'.

Just my two cents. been there - done that - I hope you catch up and don't get into any trouble - enjoy the gaming.

not in trouble at all but thanks for the advice...I was just trying to get back half of what i was down on 1 play. It wasn't the easiest of games but Seattle covered the run line. Today is a new day and slow and steady it will be.

Chasing as a bettor or yoshing as a tout (giving out more plays at a higher rating) is a sure sign of square behavior. Long-term winners bet more when on a winning streak and less when on a losing streak.

Thanks I didn't realize that I was dealing with all sharps. It was a question. Everyone here is always hung up on squares and sharps. Its stupid. All I did was ask a question and I have to hear about sharps and squares. If someone bets favorites they are a square...blah blah blah its all nonsense. As long as I win you can call me a square, circle, or a triangle.

Not only will you lose big when you chase, but for some haunting reason you seem to get beat on weird plays, awful calls, weather, and totally unique stuff. Don't do it. Listen to everyone on this website. Everyone has done it. Myself multiple times. Always same result.

Chasing is a sure fire way to go broke...but if you must...have a back up game that you capped but were afraid to pull the trigger on....and make sure its a small amount...
