Please explain. It makes zero sense to me. Not only should everyone be for it but it should be enforced more. And people who have life sentences should be included too. It saves a ton of $$. Less prisons, less staff. What is it? On average 50K a year on to lodge and feed these beasts? What is the point? You have a guy who ADMITS he did it as most do and then you make taxpayers pay for what he did. why not let the victims family get some "settlement time" with him. If he survives that, then just kill him. I can not even fathom how this is debateable.It is a win win.

Those who would get the death penalty should be put to death within a months time (30 days). This gives them ample time to make out their wills, say goodbye to loved ones and make their peace with god.
But, if they are given life in prison without parole, that's what they should get. No TV, no newspapers, just a cell with a small window and maybe 1 hour a week to go outside. They are being punished, and the way our prison systems work, its just like being on "the block" for most of these guys in prison.
There shouldn't be any yard, rec or TV time. Every prisoner should be in a 8x5 cell with a small window, no roommates. And if they are lucky, we should start up the chain gang and make them do hard labor if they want to get outside.

I was joking NFL. But it is a longstanding debate whether the aim of prisons should be punishment or rehabilitation. As far as the death penalty goes I'm all for it in a perfect world. The problem is we don't live in one and our court system sends too many innocent people to jail. Google Ryan Ferguson. Finally he has been freed but he spent a long time in prison for a crime he did not commit. And even after they knew they fucked it up they still kept him locked up a few years longer.
