How can a book that consistently beats gamblers be considered a favorite of most posters!!

Everyone has Pinnacle as one of their favorite books, but all you read here is how they seem to pound everyone. When I started thinking more like them I starting beating them more often. If the line looks to good to be true at Pinnacle it usually is, and this can be used to a players advantage. Later

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

I dont use Pinnacle but have noticed the lines lately sometimes are so good to be true....that you get suckered into the wrong play. I have adjusted the way I play to compensate for those lines.

You might lose all your money there, but you know they're safe and will pay.

I've seen a 20 cent book have a better + number than Pinny frequently.

I've seen days where a 20 cent book gets all my picks for the day. Who cares if it's a 30/40/50 cent book? Pay attention to the numbers.

Pinny does not pound everyone.

97% is closer to the number, as it is with most books.

I always look at pinnacles numbers whether I'm loaded or not there. They do try and deceive you I believe and as you watch for months/years, you will see patterns develop that do assist gamblers, but it is not something you can learn or pick up on overnight.

the confidence that you will be paid *if* you win can never be over rated.

So true...One example
Uconn is playing st johns. Uconn is -4 at most places including pinny.Pinny 1/2 hour before gametime they move the line to -3 -117[They have been doing this more and more the last year]how you have two choices- lay the 3 -117 or take the +4
You lay the 3 -117 your going to lose 6 out of 10 times and your paying the extra juice....or win 6 out of 10 times taking the +4

I agree with the original post here. I stopped playing at pinnacle for 2 reasons.

1. No matter what, I cant win there. I mean I won SHITLOADS on baseball this past season at 3 .20 cent shops, but i cant win for losing at pinnacle in baseball.

2. They dont offer reduced odds parlay betting. You get -110 on parlays

This is a very valid point. I was thinking along the same lines yesterday. So if a book is really sharp and you realize it you end up not giving them the play and then they realize that you are using their lines to bet elswhere and then they adjust them the other way. Does anyone clone pinnacles line? It's like reverse psychology.
