I'm a canes fan!!!!!!!!!

was a fan of the whalers and blackhawks as a kid, growing up in NC! and lucky me they moved the whalers down here. went to their 1st 2 playoff games back in 98 i think, when they played boston, winning the 1st home game and losing the 2nd on an ot goal by anson carter if i remember correctly.

carolina catches alot of crap about having a team, and redneck fans that dont care. but they have a great fan group and the players love it down here in raleigh. they have a great atmosphere at games

doubt they ever get any respect for having a team down here but they have had some good success in the very short time in carolina.

carolina has the loudest building in the playoffs year in and year out in my opinion. this franchise would soar if they could get a better owner than karmanos.

anaheim was ok but it really was pretty mediocre fan support this year .

the canes seems to have really caught on but we will see if they can past pitt,boston was much ado about nothing this year

Sorry Skate,but no I was'nt a Whalers fan before the Canes came to N.C. To be honest about all i knew about hockey before then was it looked like a lot of guys with not many teeth skating around trying to fight one another,so I figurt that goes rite along with rasseling and chewing tobbaco and damn if it ain't worked out good.
