After a maddening first half against Penn State during which the Bulls played a jittery and well recognized, by those of us in the know down here, "let's shoot ourself in the foot cause they are a BIG program and we are on the road" exhibiton; the Bulls dominated Joe Pa.

This is the birth [ a la 'NINGS' ] of national coverage for this program and the biggest night in Tampa sports since the Stanley Cup.

"We're movin" up to the Eastside......"

MICHIGAN -2 was my POD..........one good call deserves a bad one.

:sad3: :sad3:

You didn't really deserve to lose that play...Michigan decided to pack it in once the score was 13-6. Sure they had that quick hitter TD throw but that was it. I warned my friends off of this game because you can't rely on the Michigan defense to stop anyone anymore.

It wasn't that bad a play Fish...you just got Michigan'x (I'd put a D there where the x is if Michigan had one show up in the 2nd half).

More like Penn State dominated Penn State. Our biggest enemy through four games is ourselves.

Jim Leavitt is a heckuva coach. Always had his teams prepared even when they were outmanned. Give the man some talent and USF or wherever he will be next year will be scary.

Somewhere on this forum 2+ years ago, I stated that in 7-9 years that South Florida would be practically on even terms with FLORIDA, FLORIDA STATE, and MIAMI.

This program will have come FULL CIRCILED the day the Bulls defeat one of these three teams.

Last night was a HUGE sounding board!!!

Football Receives AP Poll Recognition
(September 25, 2005) After its impressive 45-14 win over Louisville Saturday night, the USF football team received seven points in today's AP Top 25 poll. It marked the second time ever that USF had receive AP votes. The Bulls picked up points after a 2002 win over Bowling Green, who was ranked 25th in the ESPN/USA Today poll at the time.

USF did not receive points today in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll, but the Bulls did so so in 2003, ironically following a win over Louisville. The Bulls lost the following week against TCU and dropped from that poll.

USF, who is playing its ninth season ever and its first in the BIG EAST, also ranked as high 12th in the Division I-AA poll during the 1998 season, the program's second year.
