Only one Big 12 team has posted a winning record in the regular season since the conference was formed in 1996.

What team is it?

1978 in the Garden State Bowl against Arizona State in New Jersey, and that was the only Bowl game that they have ever played in.

Here's a hint:

Texas - John Mackovick - 1997 (4-7)
Nebraska - Bill Callahan - 2004 (5-6)
Kansas State - Bill Snyder - 2004 (4-7)
Texas A & M - RC Slocum - 1996 (6-6), RC Slocum - 2002 (6-6), Dennis Franchione - 2003 (4-8)
Oklahoma - John Blake - 1996 (3-8), John Blake - 1997 (4-8), John Blake - 1998 (5-6)
Colorado - Rick Neuheisel - 1997 (5-6), Gary Barnett - 2000 (3-8), Gary barnett - 2003 (5-7)

It should be obvious by now.

Correct answer is Texas Tech.

1996 (7-5)
1997 (6-5)
1998 (7-5)
1999 (6-5)
2000 (7-6)
2001 (7-4)
2002 (8-5)
2003 (7-5)
2004 (7-4)

You have to admit, it's good trivia. And almost no one ever gets it.

Kudos to trytrytry for getting it correct. I'll have another good one tomorrow.
