thx a lot for the response.. and yea im not that naive to think that I will make big money off 10k, im just planning to start this out slow and grind it out over the long long run.. but its something that can gaurentee me profits so that is why im interested in doing it... im planning to dedicate a lot of time and effort into doing this... maybe you can give me some more pointers when u get started iceman
more than happy to help you. I have a lot to learn but have grinded my ass off capping, shooping, betting and sweating out a ton of baseball plays to be up less than $20 a day. I figue I could do this till football starts, plus it is something I have always wanted to pursue. I think getting completely orgainized is the 1st step in making this process work. That is after accepting the realities the project. Let's make some money:money:

Yes the testimonial was from me. I like Wagerstation, though don't use it in the strict sense that some of you seem to above. When something pops up on WS I can generally identify the "off" line from my reading of the market, so I bet that and stand by to cover the other side elsewhere. It limits orbit's (2) of missing the "bigger" scalp as I bet out when the comeback starts.

Results - Yes.
Arbs - Somewhat iffy as there's no breakdown of rulesets til the second screen (2 sets v match complete etc)

I have to laugh when this Topic arises, its like a Detective who dun it, who is the legitimate Scalper, the wannabe scalper, the greenhorn scalper, the person who says he's a scalper b/c its vogue and the loads of clueless posters advising even more clueless posters. Yes, the more enlightened of us know exactly how time consuming a 1% scalp is:missingte, not to mention the money management, Santo is the only one who forwards sensible advise on the subject but forgets to inform others, you have to have your wits about you and be dedicated. Like everything else you read on here by Jokers, its all easy Money. :lolBIG:

You do need time, attention and the rest of the right tools which it doesn't do me any favours to discuss :)

Re: Golf, I've not seen a results feed for it. I do believe that the matchups are on their list for the arbitrage software

Exactly my point, like your going to open the window and shout, "Fuck Me, I've found an earner, I cant wait to tell everyone at the RX" :missingte

That 1% scalp still has me laughing. :drink:

Kobe,
What I find funny is that someone thinks someone else will tell them about a good earner. In gambling you can ask a lot of questions which will be answered on here, but expecting people to give away hard earned, long time spent analysing tricks isnt going to happen. So if your question is, "can I make money scalping", my answer would be No. :103631605

Lot of merit to what Win says. I think lot of forum posters have learned the hard way the last few years that your own mouth can be your worst enemy. You just don't realize how many people are reading. Its one thing to be a good ole boy and share plays etc...., but you can't come out here and give away part of your edge. Whether it be tricks of the trade, great perks at a certain book or slow moving outs that you've been pounding a while, you want to be friendly but you can't give away the store.

I think you do great in this area Fish. You are very helpful and answer questions for the newer guys as good as anyone. You are never rude and you give them what they wanted to know. At the same time you don't go so far that you have about 20 sharpies wanting to kick your ass.

I know in the past I would see people post things on the forums that I just can't understand why they would do that? I'd think to myself, if you want to make it disappear then keep talking about it out here!!? Not as bad as it used to be but I still think some things shouldn't be shared out here and are talked about way too much.

there is a harsh reality that even I sometimes have problems dealing with. It is that you generally will have 1k out there bet and working for you to most likely make less than $10 off of. You have to have a huge bankroll, be completely organinzed, dedicated and most importanly commited because it will be quite a while till you see decent profits at this and that is if you don't screw up and make the wrong bet and everyone does that once and a while. Good Luck

Bingo, winner, winner.....

Yeah, arb betting is boring and you can make very little money, IMO. Not trying to rain on anyones parade, just saying.

Are there any stories of getting one bet in and then the other line moves to quickly or some other story of getting screwed.

There has to be stories of trying to put in an arb bet and ending up having $1,000 on one game instead.

Sure it happens, but if you bet the "bad" line first, then your still getting the same EV just with (much) higher variance..

Of course you need to read the market to know which is the "bad" line.
