Ever since GA lost Chubb, their train left the tracks. LSU's loss to Bama took all wind out of their sails. I think that Florida game was nothing more than an overlook, they probably didn't watch a minute of game film. As for the Cocks, they suck, plain and simple. You coming to the game today? Gonna be cool at BoA so think I'm gonna stay at the hacienda and drink my cold adult beverages in a warmer environment, LOL.

Why is it Clemson never has Georgia on the schedule when Clemson has the clearly superior team? Pisses me off.

yeah, no doubt SEC is horrible. again will easily win the most out of conference regular season games in college football almost 20 percentage points above the ACC :)

and NFL draft probably won't be littered with SEC players in first round again, right?

not C and season = 2015 and ...

Georgia is down because they don't have a QB to carry them like years previous to keep 9/10
out of the box for their backs.

South Carolina is so bad it caused spurrier to uo and quit mid year which is pathetic and people should not have cheered him on his way out. He caused it and didn't even decide to ride the year out.

Lsu su is the same thing they always are. People that gave them a pass for losing their DC are seeing how wrong they were. Miles is always ruining mid level QB talent.

Auburn, you are now seeing the real gus. Up until this year he's always walked in too top talent at EVERY stop instead of having to put a team together himself.

Is is the SEC down? May be. But it's still the premier conference with everyone gunning for it. Look at the big ten conference with whisky and iowa in it. Big 12-2? Most schools waited till November to play teams with winning records against FBS schools. Pac 12 is just not that good even with cowherd going out west and really hyping it up for ratings, they still are the 3rd or 4th best conference. Acc? I think Clemson is the best team so far but after that?

I don't like how the SEC has been putting some of these cupcakes late into the season to come between their conference games, almost like an extra bye week to prepare. Although, I guess that strategy almost backfired for Florida and Georgia yesterday.

The SEC will always have the twinkie circuit of games during the season for teams to become bowl eligible. How they do in these games has no impact of how they will do in the bowls. If they aren't playing well by the public's standards it will be reflected in the lines. I thought the SEC was a bit overrated last year, and it showed in their ATS record in the bowls. My guess is they will be a little underestimated by the public this year. I also think the Pac-12 will do well in the bowls. Especially if the Playoff Committee snubs them. If this happens look for them to make a statement in these games.

I don't want to get into a pissing contest with someone who obviously doesn't know a damn thing about college football but I will. By all preseason accounts, Alabama's schedule was rated the most difficult in the country. (Phil Steele, Bleacher Report, 247 Sports, The Cheat Sheet and College Football to name a few)

Including the Auburn game Saturday, Bama's opponents have an 84-49 record. Non conference opponents had a 24-20 record and SEC opponents were 60-29.

Right Bubble Boy, Alabama has played nobody.

I think some SEC do play one big out of conference but perception is reality. The conference plays so many FCS that everyone who is not an sec homer can see it. They use to say the conference is so tuff blah blah blah.. maybe it was 5 years ago. It definitely is no longer the conference it use to be.

Other then Alabama there is not one team in the conference you worry about playing.

Alabama does and has always played a big out of conference game every year as long as I can remember. The thing that drives me nuts are all the SEC fans who hang on to Alabama's success as their own...

Personally...first thanks Conan for your post.

I don't give a rat's ass if conference A is better than conference B.

As a longtime Southeastern Conference follower....I think I can hang my hat with the better ones.

Some Hollywood piss ant who says the SEC is a bad conference and Alabama plays nobody shows me there
are a lot of super dumbasses out there.

That I do give a rats ass about.

Alabama has played some good teams and I'm not going to say they havent but at the same time can we stop with the strength of schedule shit that shows the opposition win loss record. That is hardly a true measure of how hard of a schedule someone has played. So Charleston southern is 9-2. So according to that way of determining SOS that means playing charleston southern is a harder game then playing a real power 5 team with a 8-4 record. Makes no sense. With that said I don't know of a great way to determine sos either just saying looking at the oppositions win/ loss record is crap. I personally like to look at a teams toughest 4-5 games and who those teams were and where they are ranked.

I don't like how the SEC has been putting some of these cupcakes late into the season to come between their conference games, almost like an extra bye week to prepare. Although, I guess that strategy almost backfired for Florida and Georgia yesterday.

this is something relatively new that the NCAA and sec were requiring the league to do. Doing this allowed your opening weekend big games like Bama/wisconsin. Use too the sec kept the smaller schools earlier in the year.

If this happens look for them to make a statement in these games.
. If memory serves me correctly didn't the sec have a pretty good bowl season?

I rememver ver lsu giving a game away late, come to find out the DC was already receuiting for A&M, ole miss got curvbed stomped (don't let ole miss fool you, they are ole miss for a reason, don't give them more credit that their history shows).
