He is openly rooting for the Red Sox. I also feel bad for him because he runs out of breath towards the end of any thought longer than one sentence.

you will NEVER hear me say anything bad about Berman - EVER!

he went out of his way to be super cool to me and my brother when i worked at espn and while that was 13 years ago - i recall some of the things he did today - and will always fondly recall them.

i also have a pic hanging on my wall of me sitting between berman and TJ on the set of "primetime" - so you know where i sit on this one.

Just my 2 cents - Berman is an intelligent guy who graduated from Brown. A class act all the way. So what if he roots for the Red Sox. Of course if you like ex-jocks for announcers then Boomer is not your man.

The only people talking bad about him are the ones who have the angels to win.

Take the source and deal with it accordingly.

Berman is the best ESPN personality of all-time...

IMO the reason people sometimes get sick of him, he's everywhere....Of course sometimes he can over do it, but c'mon 'Boomer' has given us alot over the years...:aktion033

Berman is very talented and a bright guy. However, he was doing a national broadcast and should not be openly rooting for anyone. It was not a NESN broadcast. I'd rather hear Sean McDonough and Jerry Remy. Berman is great in studio but terrible in the booth. Does John Miller openly root for the Giants, Joe Buck for the Cardinals or even Tim McCarver for the Yanks? No because they are professional baseball announcers.

Baseball Girl,
You are a pr**k! I had the over which was a winner. So shut the fvk up. Go dig up a Cardinal-Dodger box score from April so you can follow those trends for tonight's game!!

Bermen in NFL primetime is great but play by play he is so so. He is a legend though help putting ESPN where it is today so he will always have my respect.
