I took the ChiSox -120 when Houston was up 3-1. They have HUGE advantage with home field as Astros have struggled mightily on the road all year - sure they won 2 at Busch in this past series - but they have some history there and that huge park plays to their strengths. Chicago has rotation set perfectly and with 2 teams trying to be the team of destiny after 40+ years , I would go with the deeper pitching of the White Sox. You know Clemens is not going to pitch a complete game so even though the Astors have the 'big 3' they have to get into the bullpen where the White Sox have shown they can do it either way.

Either way this is a pretty even match on paper....it goes to show having the best team money can buy is meaning less and less, Astros , A's, Sox, Florida two years ago, all doing it with pitching and a solid TEAM.

Funny how all the pundits on TV are all over the Sox, every single one is backing the Sox. The people who back up their opinions with real money are obviously not so convinced. Harold Reynolds and John Kruk couldn't have been more one sided, they were saying six games just to be nice, but you could tell if you asked them away from the cameras they would say four or five games. Reynolds gave the Astros only a tepid advantage in the pen, only because the Sox haven't used theirs. The rest he was all over the Sox, can't believe how much so. A few categories he said a few words and said "I am going to stop right there to avoid offending anyone". Kruk followed with almost the same thing. When those two guys are sold on something like that I start looking at the other side.

was the last 'non-glamorous' series the '97 Cleveland -Florida one, that went to 7 games and a 1-run win for the Marlins so pretty dramatic, although the rest of the series was kind of weird with the back and forth and no one ever winning 2 straight

I was at that game!!

Totally awesome. I was deaf for two weeks following the game. Also took about 3 hours to drive out of the parking lot outside pro player stadium.

But you have to remember that Cleveland was the team of the 90's.

Albert Belle, Kenny Lofton, Jim Thome, Charles Nagy.

Ya. My predictions may be off but sometimes I feel like im one of the only one who knows anything about baseball on this forum.

Houston played like shit. They won because the Cardinals played worse than shit.

The Whitesox are much more powerful offensively than the Astros. Their pitching is really good too.

I cannot beleive these two teams are going to the world series. Both of them suck, how the hell did they get here?

Dude you are one the biggest fakes I have yet to meet on this forum..You think your the only one who knows bases?? You must be down about 100 units from what I can tell by your posts and your still bashing me??:finger:
