Houston leads 29:28 after a late TD with 3 seconds left. The line was Houston-2.5. The coach goes for 2 points and misses.

DOES THIS REQUIRE AN INVESTIGATION????

or is it a simple insurance attempt?

You go for 2 in that situation every time IMO. All it takes is a long return and a penalty on the kicking team to extend an untimed down try for a FG.

If they had kicked the PAT, I think an investigation would be warranted. Going for two is what should happen every time. Nonetheless, ineptness reigned on the 2 point try.

Of course they would go for 2. What good could the 1 possibly do them? The 2 is unlikely to matter, but not impossible. Going for 2 was a no brainer.

Yeah I needed that 2-pointer for the win. Bummer deal.

Even if they did kick the PAT they win by 2 and still don't cover.

What's the point of this?

An investigation lmao....

I got bent over in a similar situation today

Jets team total o26.5....they punch in a TD in the 4th to make it 26-14. They go for 2 & of course get stopped.

Didnt sweat that one as I had Miami +3.5 at the opener. NFL openers (IMO) give you your best chance at success betting NFL sides.

Fucking cost me 4k...had the Texans 2nd half and if they kick the extra point I win a 2 team parlay...had to go 4 the 2 point conversion and that cost me..

although I am happy they won..

What if the kick gets blocked or the 2-pt conversion attempt results in a turnover, and the ball is run back to the house for a safety?

Wouldn't the absolute smartest thing to do be to take a knee on the PAT to ensure that doesn't happen?

I'm just sayin...

Denfenses can't score on extra point attempts in the Pros, only in college.
