Comedy is easily the most subjective of movie genres. If you don't like the three leads in their other shows, you're definitely not going to like the movie. But it's with all comedy. If you like Kevin James' schtick, you'll like his movies. Adam Sandler, same.

Good point, i can't stand either one of those guys (I dislike James much more than Sandler though) and refuse to watch any movie they're in. Same with David Spade, what a talentless little prick. When I read about how Spade didn't even show up at his best friend Chris Farley's funeral because he didn't "agree" with Farley's lifestyle at the time I lost all respect for this annoying little douche bag.

If you look at rotten tomatoes it has a good rating but most of the reviews are that the movie is ok and has some laughs but could have been much better. I really like most the actors in this but it really just didn't flow. I find most things funny but when the best way to get a laugh is to name a character motherfucker jones than the movie has some serious flaws. Swingers has a similar rating on Rotten Tomatoes but is, to me, 100X funnier. I would rec. this movie as a download instead of the theater

I was referring to the Rotten Tomatoes rating which uses critics ratings rather than the publics rating--the critics is at 72%.... but with that quote-the premise of the movie is mediocre and it works to a small extent imo--humor is different for everyone tho

to compare: hangover 2 got a 31% and zookeeper 14%

No argument here but Swingers is also better because the writing is sharper and the characters really give you something to root for in them.

saw it yesterday and liked it. The story lacks flow and has some random moments, but overall it had some solid laughs in it and was a good comedy
