If game stays as is, will be a extremely happy.

But this game has a long ways to go and even with a win, the series is not over.

I thought I read on here a couple months ago how much Shrink said he hated baseball and he didn't bet it.

But to be fair it is one play and anything can happen in one play. I hope the Cards comeback and win because I know a lot of posters around here followed blindly and I hate to see the books take their money.

Hitman- I would be willing to guess that more posters bet the RED SOX because of the thread.

1. Dont give a rats *ss, both of you are nothing but egotistical blowhards that havent a clue when it comes to picking a winner.

2. Considering you two are the most respected gamblers on any gambling forum, would give my first born child to know this play.

3. Very confusing, as i respect THE SHRINK greatly but think FISHHEAD is a complete idiot............or vice versa.

4. Think of fading the selection as my largest play of the year.

I would say 95% of posters choose answers #1 or #4.

Anybody that layed 20 to 30 cents against Pedro, along with a team that's won six games in a row, is a true follower. :17: And being a follower always get's the worst of it. But you do have to admit.......................11 pages of anything in these parts ain't gonna' be nothing but sh*t.

Fishy............BTW.................don't diss your action to bad, we all know your THE BOMB :manwh:

PS: General.....................ain't as much time as you'd like to think. :heh:

i hope you are right hitman, because alot of posters here do follow blindly...and this one hit could put a hurt on them... i figured what the hell i've read and followed both these guys before and met them both at the bash two years running...and they are both class act individuals...but that 10 or so pages of complete b.s. kind of made me think i better run for mt. charleston on this one... i did like the cards tonight but not f**kin much to drag it out for more than a 10 spot... but i'll bet there are some posters on this site right kickin themselves in the ass...thinking what the hell are those two goobers talking about....take care and let's hope no one get's hurt too bad... always remember...BET WITH YOUR HEAD...AND NOT ABOVE IT....JEFFKSU:discuss:

I look to bet the dog first in any sport. This 5,000 + ( viewed). thread didn't change that philosophy. I kept it small, though, only because I wasn't crazy about the game.

I still think they were playing the misdirection game with that thread yesterday. I think they really wanted to go large on Boston and thought the thread maybe would increase the line.

I just refuse to believe they could possibly get excited about laying chalk on Suppan over Pedro. No way. It was reverse psychology.

I can assure you that I wagered on the CARDS.

But as stated, will be happy as can be if the RED SOX win.

Then why do you gamble? You will be happy with a loser? So you are a fan. But why be happy if the bet loses? You might as well get a 900 number and give out both sides. After the way that thread took off, it might be a lucrative practice. Seemed like everyone was falling all over themsleves to get in on the discussion.

Win or lose, it is still a bunch of hype. And the beauty of an internet forum. If it wins you look like heroes, if it loses, it is just another in a long list of "LO###" that have lost for some people, so what is one more going to change?

At least it generated some traffic for this place.

Flawed logic, the aforementioned technique would be considerably more effective in a college football game.

Fish and Shrink are more honorable than that. Cards made some critical errors early to let Pedro off the hook. Things very well could've gone their way.

I guess it can be considered a very bizarre "hedge". You were either going to win money or "be happy as can be". Doesn't sound bad. I doubt Shrink will be as happy as can be though.

But Fish, not to hammer you, but...you still think Boston was a "big underdog" to win this game?

They had about a 36% chance of winning this game..........so i thought.

Hell, could have been right............this was one of those 36 out of 100 times.

I have no regrets or excuses.

Fish, I understand what you're saying, and I make the argument myself a lot...the losing side CAN be the "right side" -- the right side doesn't always win. But I still obviously don't believe this was one of those cases, plus a game like this is not going to be "off" that much very often. And certainly not for Pedro vs. Suppan. I still can't get a grasp on how Suppan could be 64% over Pedro. Uh-uh. Smack whatever computer spit that out. And they might not win, but it looks like we're getting another generous Boston line tomorrow. Lowe should not be +110 vs. Marquis. But I guess people just love betting on teams trying to get back into a series.
