I wanna grasp some of your opinions. We arleady know who were all backing. However I wanted to get some feedback on how Palin is handling herself during this campaign.
In my opinion, (which i'm sure it doesn't matter to many on here). I find it very unprofessional for someone running for the VP position to make this such a watered down version of the position. What i mean is the way she's trying to reach across to her potential voters. Sure I can appreciate her coming from a small town and relating to those in America who feel as though they never or don't have a voice. However, I think there's a distinct line being crossed here. I mean she's giving me the impression that she's just the neighbor next door. I mean to me, ANY position in the executive branch or cabinet position is serious business. We all know it requires huge responsibilities, a critical thinker, and overall somone who makes us feel confident they're in that position to begin with.
I think she's hurting the republican ticket by dumbing down the position. I know this is a smart woman. You just don't become a governor of a state by personality alone. However, the whole folksy, adorable, hockey mom image she's portraying is a bit much. If I were voting republican I sure as hell don't want my next door, PTA mom holding the nuclear codes should the president go down.
Am I making any sense here? This isn't a bash thread by anymeans guys. I know we go back and forth all the time in the gazillion other threads. But seriously, I think she's shedding her credibility and further more hurting the ticket by trying "too hard" to relate to the average Joe and Jane. It's an insult to the position IMHO.
