I wanna grasp some of your opinions. We arleady know who were all backing. However I wanted to get some feedback on how Palin is handling herself during this campaign.

In my opinion, (which i'm sure it doesn't matter to many on here). I find it very unprofessional for someone running for the VP position to make this such a watered down version of the position. What i mean is the way she's trying to reach across to her potential voters. Sure I can appreciate her coming from a small town and relating to those in America who feel as though they never or don't have a voice. However, I think there's a distinct line being crossed here. I mean she's giving me the impression that she's just the neighbor next door. I mean to me, ANY position in the executive branch or cabinet position is serious business. We all know it requires huge responsibilities, a critical thinker, and overall somone who makes us feel confident they're in that position to begin with.

I think she's hurting the republican ticket by dumbing down the position. I know this is a smart woman. You just don't become a governor of a state by personality alone. However, the whole folksy, adorable, hockey mom image she's portraying is a bit much. If I were voting republican I sure as hell don't want my next door, PTA mom holding the nuclear codes should the president go down.

Am I making any sense here? This isn't a bash thread by anymeans guys. I know we go back and forth all the time in the gazillion other threads. But seriously, I think she's shedding her credibility and further more hurting the ticket by trying "too hard" to relate to the average Joe and Jane. It's an insult to the position IMHO.

I'm ok with it. I'm actually sick tired of all the bullshit and political speak coming out of Washington. She's the change.

She's not a problem at all. The economic news and the fact that the POTUS's party gets the blame / credit and the the POTUS is the biggest problem for the GOP, and John McCain is the 2nd biggest problem.

If she doesn't win this year, she's still going to be one of the players on the National scene in 2012.

I was voting for mccain and i still probably am but after both debates im kinda twisted. I thought last night she should have been stronger, and biden couldnt have went back harder then her since she is a female. I feel the strategist used no strategy and maybe the only strategy was if they ask you this question resort to another one. For example, i forgot the question but she started talking about energy. I think she will be a good canidate but she is still not there yet with the experience.

i know. and she was so ripe for being straightend out last night but i know Biden was on a short leash. But to get back on track the whole wink and "betcha" and pretending to be a straight talker sends so many mixed signals. Also I think she referred way too much to Alaska and Mavrick.

palin is a georgeW2 clone. when programmed properly she can fool the "average joe six pack". if that moderator would have kept her on topic last night it would have been another katie couric bloodbath.

i laugh when the willie99's of this world call her "the change". she no fucking change - she talks to the country at a third grade level exactly like georgeW has done for the past 8 years.

i'd drop a dime to watch her try and give a 15 minute press conference. we've had 8 years of a president of whom the "average joe's" wanted to have a fucking beer with and we'll be paying for it for decades.

She's not very refined and her lack of experience in speaking on the "big stage" is obvious. Other than that I think she has the best of intentions and isn't any less qualified than Obama.

If Obama loses this elections it will be seen as a mammoth fuck up. Balls in his court. We'll see what happens.

I agree with you there. Too much Alaska and too much Maverick. It came off really stupid and cheesy.

As a Republican I would have liked to seen her attack Biden and Obama more forcefully. That really should be her job. Pitbull with lipstick but instead we got some folksy down home bullshit.

She needs to show more cleavage.

I don't understand why she keeps hiding her tits.

I feel much warmer and safer if I can fix my eyes onto some nice breasts.
She's not intelligent...she's a safe pair of breasts for the future.

Girl power!

btw...i just finished watching Olberman and to point out the whole "rehearsed" topic? They just did a splitscreen comparison between Bush 04 and Palin 08 debates.

They both used the same catch phrases and said the exact same things.
