Week 2: 4-2. +3.40
Overall: 8-6. +1.10

5 Units

Syracuse +27.5 -110
Feel I know this Syracuse team very well. They will put up a fight this week just watch.

3 Units

Michigan -1 -102

ND is awful on both sides of ball. Michigan just struggles on offense. Mich defense will be enough here.

2 Units

Rice +7 -102
Typical let down game for Vandy. Don't sleep on Rice offense and improving defense.

SMU +36.5 -101
Think SMU can score in the high 20's - low 30's. If your going to hang 65+ on me then congrats you win.

Houston -4.5 -110
Just like Navy defense vs high flying Ball St offense AF just doesn't have the athletes and team speed to keep up.

i am not emotionally invested in this team so I observe fairly. I am not warped into thinking a certain way. It's just how its going to be.

Like the way Rice is looking myself. Will be tough for Vandy to come out with the same intensity that they did against Scar.

Good Luck this weekend.

Good luck man...I tried going against Penn St this past week and got burned, hope this works for you...can't say I'd trust that Cuse team to keep it close.

salty vet - feel the exact same way about vandy. if we saw it once we saw it a million times. team pulls off big upset on national tv then come down to earth next week and lay an egg. rice has an improved defense and vandy by no means is an offensive juggernaut.

Guarantee - There is not a bigger Syracuse Universtiy fan than I, but this is not a homer pick. Maybe to his own stupidity but Greg Robinson acknowledged that Cam Dantley is the better qb, but felt he owed something to Andrew Robinson so that was the reason he was starting him. He finally made the move and started Cam last week and the Orange looked much improved on offense. Syracuse has done this the past few yrs. they have risen to the occasion for their biggest game of the yr. this year its going to be penn st. not saying they will win, but i expect it to be closer than expected

it was initially bet down and then back up slightly. i took it then as I expect the line to stay right around where it is, or slightly more favorable to PSU. Hopefully it won't matter when it gets down to it:toast:

Regarding Syracuse I think this is a good spot for them. They have had the tendency to rise up the past few yrs and play up to their competition. It was 3 or 4 yrs ago Syracuse went down to a much better FSU team and played them tough throughout the game only to fall in the 4th quarter. 2 years ago at the dome they had nationally ranked Iowa pretty much beaten, but couldn't manage to pump it in from the 1 yard line in 4 downs, and last year went to nationally ranked Louisville and won at there place as 36 point dogs. Now am I saying they will win? No probably not, but they have nothing to lose. The pressure is mounting like no other for Greg Robinson. With that I expect a sense of urgency that we may not have seen. He admitted he was playing the wrong quarterback in Andrew Robinson. He finally benched him against Akron and Cam Dantly and the offense looked pretty good. Dantley has a big time arm, and is also much more mobile than Robinson. IMO and the coaches (to his own fault) we now have the better quarterback in the game. Also one of the only bright spots of the season has been Boona Brinkley who has rushed for almost 200 yards and 2 tds. His backup Delone Carter has returned from a major hip injury and also has been running hard. Call me crazy, but I think this offense will put up some points against a depleted Penn St defense. Their defensive line is thin due to suspension and injury.
The defensive side of the ball is where Syracuse needs to step up if they want to remain competitive. They have some impact players that can make a difference. NW, and Akron are both offenses that can put some points on the board. Syracuse gave up chunks of yardage, but still remained competitive throughout.
I just think 27 points is way too many to be giving on the road. This is Syracuse's highlight of the season. They aren't going to a bowl, they aren't going to compete for a league title, but this is a spot for them to make some noise. This was once a huge rivalry, and many all time greats are going to be at the game for the movie release of "Express". I'm looking for a big time effort for the Orange and going to keep it within 2 td's

Cuse is about 2 shakes from imploding. Their coach will get canned for sure after they lose this game (not immediately, but it will be certain) and frankly, they just dont have the skill. PSU is playing balls out and scoring a ton of pts right now. Cuse hasn't shown any indication of ability other than just taking the field. I'm all over PSU @ -26.5. They might cover before the half is over.

from the same source that told me Cam Dantley would be starting in place of Andrew Robinson told me that Greg Robinson will be stepping down after the 5th game of the season and Skip Holtz will be named coach.
This is also the same person who first spilled the beans about Johnny Flynn, Rick Jackson, and Scoop Jardine getting excused of sexual assault.

Why in hell would Skip Holtz take that toilet job? There will be multiple other jobs open at the end of the season, quite possibly Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, and more. There are a lot more quality jobs open that will give Skip a real shot to succeed. Cuse is a black hole.

agree to an extent. Syracuse has top notch facilities, and will be able to pay well. everything else not so much. anyways i would much rather have Turner Gil.
