West Virginia +5.5
I still stand by my stance that West Virginia is a top 4 team in the big east and a top 15 team in the country, while Georgetown is rebuilding a bit and more in the bottom of the middle of the pack in the big east. I think JT3 agrees a bit as he has recently been giving minutes to the young guys clark and watad, as the older players sapp and chris wright have struggled. I think Gtown's big won over Uconn gave everyone an opinion on this team that isn't justified. They have several flaws, and some of those could be exposed tonight. Rebounding is def an area of concern for the Hoyas. They are last in the league in rebounding and have been out rebounded in each big east game except Syracuse and weak ND. WVU on the other hand is a very good rebounding team. They are 12-1 in games that they out rebound their opponent, and i have a feeling tonight is going to be one of those nights. WVU has 2 legit offensive weapons in Alex Ruoff and D'Sean Butler. Those 2 do the scoring while athletic freshman Devin Ebanks works the glass (6.3rpg). Truck Bryant is a solid freshman, who gives the Mountaineers a bit more offense than injured Joe Mazzula did. He has shown signs of his youth with some inconsistent games, but when he is good he is real good. The Hoyas aren't particulary strong at point so I can see a solid night from Truck. Also Michael Flowers has greatly improved his game off the bench, which is key in giving WVU some much needed depth. As you can see WVU has several players that know their role. Huggins is an excellent coach that demands intense defense, and rebounding so throw in the fact that they have been shooting the ball much better as of late (4 games above 35% from 3, with 2 of them over 50%), and improved from the foul line (in big east games; 76.2%, 71.4%, 60%, 75%, 80%). I think the Hoyas are ripe for the upset tonight
